I think EVGA wants more activity in their forum and it's worth offering something like elite membership for a short while to grow their community... not sure though of course. They may think they will gain many more customers and they will only do this for a limited time frame to try to strengthen the user base on the forum. Prior to this was the forum a little slow? Not too many posts?

There is a cooldown timer on posting so a bit can't just spam 100 posts in 100 seconds. Plus some 'new' forum accounts are long time EVGA customers who didn't qualify for elite because they bought cards, motherboards, powersupplies a long time ago. I.E. me.

I personally am trying to get elite status by getting 100 post. I hope it helps my find a gpu, but I don't have high hopes.
