    So the 3080Ti  will have sli , it looks like?   Not that it matters for almost zero support nowadays.
     
    It must be 3090 boards that didn't pass inspection or work properly ?

    No; that's the wrong end of the card for SLI connectors. Those are cutouts to help guide/thread power cables if you're coming in from that angle. It's also there on the current 3080 Suprim X model that I have.

    GOod catch - I didn't look that closely...  now I can barely see the 8-pin power connectors

    I would assume that it is a dual bios switch. Silent mode probably doesn't turn the fans on until a higher temperature.

    It's lowers the die/memory boost when you enter a game so it can keep the fans spinning slower and create less noise. I switched mine to Gaming and OC'd quite a bit but the fans on this thing are ridiculously loud so I just went back to default. 5% gains were not worth the noise.

    Do you really want to go back to that hell? If you already have a 3090 keep it, the chances of you getting a 3080 Ti this year are exceedingly low unless you want to pay scalper pricing.
