People will find a way regardless. My local microcenter is literally ram by scalpers with the management in it as well.

I don't think any retailer actually care to stop the bots and scalpers as long as they are making money!!

Some do. BB and Microcenter have taken steps. Evidently whatever the Canadian version of MC is called has a really nice system.
