It's not scalpers or miners. Its a worldwide chip shortage that is affecting many industries. Scalpers and miners do add to the problem, but if they didnt exist the shortage would still be really bad. 

I firmly disagree with the fact that "It's not scalpers or miners."  Yes, there is a global chip shortage since many industries, especially the automotive industry, use microchips in their products, and it's even held up entire production lines of vehicles for weeks at a time because they cannot finish building the vehicles without the chips for the computers which run virtually every part of the vehicle.  Scalpers are a huge problem because they use sophisticated auto-purchase bots which can circumvent supposed "anti-bot" measures that retailers have in place because if there is a loophole, it would be found.  These scalpers can use these bots to purchase video cards much faster than any human which is why everything is out of stock before you get to the end of the checkout process.  Not to mention how the scalpers and miners purchase graphics cards directly from the manufacturers and distributors by the pallet and either resell them simply to make a profit or to add to their already huge cryptomining farms.

Why would they care? Most don't have any measures, some (including amazon) show captcha if you request pages too often. Also Amazon may block you for several days (as the readme of one opensource Amazon buying bot says).
The easiest workaround is to make a bot which checks the availability on one computer/server and sends the link to another one that buys it.

Yes, I also believe 1000$ MSRP will be the price for the 3080TI if they will even be available at that price, I think not, but we still hope.
 
Aye, when you thought that 2021 will bring more chips and stabilize the stocks, ETH just skyrocketed, destroying that hope.

I understand, and that is something interesting to say, but will the press say that they got invited to watch that NVIDIA stream, isn't it under NDA?
And yes, while Videocardz most likely has sources, people working in tech companies, I don't like all the rumors and news originate and link back to their announcement. If you see, a lot of sources saying 18 May now 31 May originated from Videocardz and they state that Nvidia confirmed, when Nvidia didn't say anything.
 
But I don't believe the E3 event will feature any news about the TI card or any game going to acknowledge the 3080TI, maybe at maximum to mention Ray Tracing.
I think at that Nvidia Conference, there will be benchmarks about already released games and how the 3080TI is better.

I seen these videos of shops in Taiwan stacked with 2060 3060 3070 80s 90s jesus... must say it's better than P-HUB ;)

I hope that's true.  That converts to $1686.18 Canadian,...with the massive assumption that cards will be available at MSRP,...which history has told me not to expect! 

I agree. I'm really hoping the $1400 price point is till what EVGA offers to us directly
