New Build, second first attempt at water!

Btw what's Everyones thoughts on doing a 280mm rad for motherboard components? Or would a single 140mm be plenty?



If you're doing VRMs & chipset as a part of the loop you probably won't even need to add radiator - both of them combined probably only put off about 50W of heat maximum unless you're pushing insanely high OCs on the CPU, even then it wouldn't be more than 70W at most, all it'll do is possibly raise your CPU load temps by 1-2C - not really something worth adding a whole 'nother radiator for...

Yeah I had my CPU on the 480mm/60mm thick radiator by itself for a while.  It actually did further reduce temps going from the PE 360/38mm thick radiator to that, despite the fact that the CPU is only putting out about 200-230W of heat, so while I'm sure at some point you hit diminishing returns, overall the bigger the rad the better. lol

Decent build....do miss the HEDT boards/ CPU's, were you able to push the 10900x far?

Short question about this, is the CPU the highest point in your water cycle? thought that this should be avoided at all costs, or does that only apply to AIOs?

That's generally just AIOs because the pump is directly attached to the CPU block. With his pump/reservoir combo, there's always water above the pump, which is what you need (pumps should not be ran dry...ever). With an AIO, there is no reservoir, just the radiator, so you have to keep that water above the pump, which is attached to the CPU block.

Very nice! That case is massive haha. I'm on my first water loop build now, I've got some nervousness about it but hoping for the best.

I did the full water cooling where I had to run/cut my lines, I used red color coolant, over time it started to look a funky orange anti-freeze color.  
Maybe its something you change out on a regular basis, dont know, but I still think there cool.

You're crazy! I love it! I'm rocking a single 280mm for my CPU and it seems to hold up. I'd be interested to see your soak times.

Anyone else getting a vampire vibe from this build. The red liquid in the cooling and white case definitely have that feel to me.
