Z20 keyboard enter switch?

Didn't see any post about enter key not working but maybe a setup or wrong software.  The enter key in the keyboard letters works fine but the enter key in the number area does not work
it lights up with the rest of the keyboard but when hitting it does not respond.    \

    The "Enter" key on the number pad side should work fine. No need to do any sort of updates. If you continue to have issues please reach out to our customer support team in order to get the keyboard replaced via RMA if trouble shooting does not fix the issue. Try the link below first.

    I have the same issue with my EVGA Z20, the numpad ENTER key does nothing other than light up. I use Unleash RGB v1.0.6 and firmware v1.26. Should I return my keyboard for a new one?

    I would first try hitting default in the Unleashed software and I would pull the key cap to make sure you don’t notice any physical issue. After that I would seek an RMA. It would probably be best to contact support and get the ball rolling on an RMA. My ideas are just what I would try but really unlikely to really fix the problem.

    If you haven't already make sure you update to the latest version of Unleash RGB there is a firmware update that may be able to fix your issue.

    I hit default and I removed the key cap and put it back, also trying to click it without key cap, but no result. The button feels and looks normal to me.

    I am having the same problem. Brand new keyboard, plugged in and it updated the firmware immediately after installing the software. Enter key on Numpad still does not work even after the update. Tried on a different computer and experience the same behavior. Removed keycap for said key and pressing the switch directly does not make any difference. Have tried factory reset numerous times with no change. Firmware version 1.27, Unleashed software version 1.0.7.0.

    They supply some extra switches with these keyboards, so try changing the switch out (not just the keycap, the switch). At least that would eliminate a switch issue.
     
    EDIT: Sorry, my mistake - only the Z15 comes with the 8 extra switches, the Z20 comes with extra keycaps instead (a,s,w,d + E1-E5).

    The Z15 and Z20 come with 8 extra switches, but not extra keycaps. Keycaps are the ones with letters/numbers etc on them, the switches are underneath the keycaps. Watch this video, from about 2:00 time it will show you what they look like and how to swap them out - even the tool is provided (although I notice Jacob called them keycaps at one point by mistake).
     
    EDIT: on looking at the product pages again, you are correct - the Z15 comes with 8 extra switches, but the Z20 comes with extra keycaps instead (a,s,w,d + E1-E5), sorry, my mistake!

    No problem. I did double check the box and confirm the same. It only came with extra keycaps.

    I submitted a help ticket and will see how that goes.

    i would also like to confirm that my ENTER key on the number pad area of the keyboard do not work either. It's the ENTER key to the far bottom right of the keyboard.
    I use that key often and i really need it to work on this new keybaord. I actually use the number pad alot.
     
    My keyboard is brand new out of the box and just updated to the latest firmware v1.27 and the Unleash RGB v1.0.7 and the ENTER button still does not work.
     
    Anyone have any fixes for this?

    Please contact support for this issue. It doesn't sound like a firmware issue, as most people's enter key works fine. If there are a few of you out there, it might mean that there's a quality control issue they need to address and you getting in touch with them for an RMA will help you get a working keyboard and them figure out what the issue is so less people have it.

    the Z20 does not allow you to swap the keyboard... the z15 does... huge drawback not being able to swap the switches

    UPDATE: confirmed it was a defect and will have to RMA :-(    ... EVGA Rep said might have been a quality control issue...  I will probably just exchange it at local store

    WoW, i have to give a shout out to EVGA... i shipped my RMA keyboard late Wednesday and received the replacement to my front door Saturday (less than 72hrs!!!). The turn around time was incredible, i dont think i ever seen a RMA complete that fast. Excellent customer service too. Keep up the good work EVGA!!!! The ENTER button on the new keyboard works and so does everything else!

    Same issue here. Numpad enter key does not work.
    Nothing of this fixes it:
    • Trying it in another PC
    • Upgrading the firmware
    • Resetting everything in unleashed
    • Assigning a macro to it
    In my opinion it looks like a hardware issue.
    The only solution seems to be to request a refund and get a new one, hoping that it will work.

    Howdy EVGA crew. I also have the dead on arrival right side/numpad enter key. I bought my keyboard from Amazon instead of EVGA directly. Should I work with y'all for a replacement or them? 
     
    PS I love the keyboard, sorry that so many of us are having this problem :-/

    I have the same problem, brand new Z20 and Enter from numpad doesnt work at all. I have latest software version and firmware v1.28
    Unfortunately I could not find this keyboard in my country and I had to buy it from the UK, which in turn, no one sold it to my country and someone had to buy it from me. Then he puts together how to get to my country, and after other transport costs (almost doubled its purchase value) and almost a month, I get the product and I have the biggest disappointment, the Enter on the numpad does not work.
    I made a ticket, I see that it takes a while for someone to answer, I gave all the details (even clip ) now I'm curious how the rma will go. If I am forced to send it at my expense to who knows which country, I'd better destroy it.
    When I bought it, I missed the look of the switches, I had remembered that they are hotswap but it seems that only Z15 ...

    Same problem here. Just saw that you posted this yesterday, and it happens that I gave a call just yesterday. I was told that there might be something wrong with the hardware rather than software, and maybe I am supposed to ship that and ask for a replace. If that is the matter of the hardware, I think it is the company's or the manufacture's fault...
