1st post in 13 years. I have bought multiple EVGA products in that time period and they are registered to my account. I still have the boxes for my 260, 680 and 970. My computer is currently running on an EVGA PSU. Yet I am not elite. Is this a joke?

The Elite program has been around since April 2017. Why did you wait until now to join? Regardless, the same rules and requirements apply to EVERYONE, so no, it is not a joke. EVGA ELITE Membership requires a valid EVGA account, and also one of the following: 100 posts on the EVGA Forums, 5,000 E-Points earned by watching Livestreams on TEAMEVGA's Twitch Channel, OR qualified EVGA products registered to your account -RX purchases, products received from RMA, and secondhand purchases do not qualify for this promotion. That does not specify which products are qualified, but it would presumably need to be relatively recent. The most recent card you list is the GTX 970, which was released in September 2014.. nearly 7 years ago. The GTX 680 was March 2012, over 9 years ago, and the GTX 260 was June 2008, nearly 13 years ago. Maybe the GTX 970 would have got you in had you applied in 2017 when the program started (assuming it wasn't b-stock, RMA or second hand), but they have to draw a line somewhere. There are hundreds if not thousands of EVGA members who are in the same boat as you. They certainly significantly increase our likelihood of getting a card - and at MSRP, not some ridiculously inflated scalper price. There's a limitation of 1 card model per physical address, and cards cannot be shipped to post office boxes or forwarding addresses for people trying to get around the address limitation, so that definitely makes it difficult to buy multiple cards. The queue system means the scum scalpers have to wait in line like everyone else, and since you can only be waiting in the same queue once per account, that makes it even more difficult for scalpers to harvest multiple cards for resale (or miners for mining). I think EVGA are awesome for doing what they can to get cards into the hands of their intended gamer audience, rather than to asshat scalpers or miners.

I think a shuffle system combined with a queue system would be the best. Give everyone a set amount of time to sign up and then randomize it.

I agree with you on that. I like the limits on purchasing. If there’s a shortage, people can do with 1 per household until the shortage passes. Keeps people from buying up 6 7 or 8 just to resell them all.

2FA for phone numbers plus physical shipping address limits are probably the best way I can think of to level the playing field for gamers vs numbers and scalpers.

I like this set up too. The only little tweak I would say is the first 12 hours or so that they open up the queue, randomize the order they are in line. Because man, that website just kept crashing this morning. The guy on his iPhone at work trying to upgrade from his 980 card has no shot vs the scalper with 3 super computers and 100 windows open. It’s just a suggestion and I’m not saying I’m right. Just my feedback. Everyone’s situation is different though.
