Got my old 2080 Ti Hybrid in a spare PC in a 4U rack case in a plastic rack enclosure for transport and hit a Turkey squarely the other day while the PC was in the car.  The PC slid forward about a foot under heavy breaking, still works.  Car's grille needs a full replacement.  Turkey yeeted off into the woods.

Why oh why does this sound like a believable April fools joke, lol.

Everything still works? 2080ti is good to go?

I already glued the grille back together but it's pretty noticeable.  Cheapest price in the country for a new OEM replacement part is $475 shipped.

    Most expensive Turkey ever.

Wow--that sucks, but could've been worse.  If the tanks are ok on your radiator, any competent radiator shop should be able to either repair or block off the damaged part of the core if small enough, or get you a complete recore for far less as long as tanks are reuseable ( They're usually the expensive part or Rad's ).  You might be surprised if you pull it yourself how much you could save.  Last time I was in a similar situation a few years ago with a damaged radiator from road debris, I brought it in to a Rad shop, they stuck it in the acid tank for leak pressure check and late in the afternoon that day out the door for $25 with 1 row blocked off ( Can't do that with too much of total area or you have overheating issues ), and many years back remember getting a complete recore for about 1/3 of new Rad cost.  GL!

Hey thanks, it's just the exterior cosmetic grille.  Complex part that includes a camera.

Though back in the day I hit a squirrel in another car and it took out my AC condenser core that I ultimately had to replace.

Turkeys, at least the ones here in the northeast can get MASSIVE, they are winged tanks. Also they do not care about your car, either out of bravery or stupidity. Glad to hear your hardware still works!
