I have a EVGA SuperNOVA 850 P2, 80+ PLATINUM 850W and I was wondering if it supports a 3x8pin GPU (EVGA 3080 ftw3). If it does support does it come with the cables necessary for 3x8pin? And if it doesnt what can I do to make it support it? I heard most PSU's come with 2x8 pin cables if this is the case do I buy an additional EVGA 8 pin cable and does this PSU support that? PLEASE HELP

Yes it's compatible. If you look at the specs, it comes with 4 6+2 pin pci-e cables which is as good as 4 8 pin cables. It just doesn't look as clean

CPU: I7 7820x @ 4.7ghz
Mobo: Gigabyte Gaming 7 Pro x299
Mem: Corsair Vengeance LP 3000mhz
PSU: EVGA 850 Supernova G3

My Fractal Design ION PSU came with 4x PCIE splitters. You should be fine if the PSU came with splitters.

If a PSU comes standard with the proper number of GPU cables (or more) than it is most likely compatible.

Ryzen 9 5900X @ 4.8
32GB Corsair Vengeance 3600MHZ CL14 (14-16-16-32)
EVGA 3080 FTW3
ASUS Prime X570

4x 2TB Samsung 879 EVO
2x 4TB WD Black
ASUS ROG Strix 850W White PSU

sounds like an excellent pairing, and it is exciting that platinum is coming down in price.

actually it can't handle the power spikes the 3000 series is known for , even on my 3070ti it trips and reboots. I have better luck with evga's 850 bq bronze.

Honestly the 850W is what my wife was using on her computer for her 3080 and she has had for the last year and a half I would say without issue. About a month ago though I moved her up to a 1300W P+ that I had bought but it didn't work with my case as the case has to have the standard plug instead of a rectangle plug because of the PSU being mounted about in the bottom center of the case.
