Once Again, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang to Showcase What's Been Cooking for GTC - From His Kitchen | TechPowerUp

Remember that time when NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang pulled the company's HGX system (based on Ampere GA100) out of his own oven? Well, it seems we might be looking at something similar come GTC, which is set for April 12th. The event will again take place solely via online transmissions and announcements due to the still heavily-grassing COVID-19 pandemic, and NVIDIA teased a new kick-off presentation from its CEO - from his kitchen.

NVIDIA has usually taken GTC as an opportunity to showcase products not for the consumer segment, however, so temper your expectations. You should also likely temper your expectations regarding Huang taking enough RTX 30-series graphics cards form his oven to satisfy the incredible demand and stock issues we've been seeing with NVIDIA's latest and greatest. What we could be looking for (as an appetizer to this year's over 1500 presentations) are products focused on the professional computing markets, from quantum computing to AI, passing through RTX Ampere accelerators for professionals, NVIDIA Drive products, as well as Jetson announcements. NVIDIA did warn some surprises might be in store, but again, this doesn't mean these are surprises aimed at consumer gaming products. Catch up on NVIDIA's official announcement and a previously-released GTC retrospective video after the break.

It's estimated the the NVIDIA CEO will not announce anything for the consumer market.  I wish he would at least detail how NVIDIA intends to rectify the GPU shortage.

How about about a box of actual, real 3090’s...

    That would blow people’s mind

I used to mine. Now I compute.

NVIDIA GTC 2021 Has A Scavenger Hunt – Hidden Message Decoded

So when I wrote the article about NVIDIA's GTC 2021 announcement the wording on their blog seemed a bit too ominous to me. Upon inspecting the flashing lights in the tweet closely I realized that there was a morse code message embedded in it. It seems as if the company is going for an Intel Xe-styled scavenger hunt. Since the hidden text is pretty mundane I am guessing there will be more puzzles coming our way so stay tuned!

I decoded NVIDIA GTC 2021's first puzzle: "hidden treasure"

NVIDIA had the following line in their announcement which seemed like it might have something to do with a clue that would drop later:
And, to have a little quick fun, we’ve added a few surprises – so be on the lookout. Watch the @NVIDIAGTC Twitter handle for clues and more details.
This is one of the videos posted on the twitter account:

Take a close look at those blinking bulbs which form a golden neuron (usually sued to depict deep neural networks). The blinking lights are actually in morse code and each bulb represents a single word. If you decode the blinking pattern using a morse code sheet you get the following results:

The blinking lights spell out "HIDDEN TREASURE HIDDEN TREASURE".

Update: Videocardz discovers landing page for NVIDIA's treasure hunt

The landing page is over here: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/gtc/hidden-treasure/

I bet Jensen Huang has like a million spatulas now from all the sycophants who think they're being original by buying him one for his 'collection'.

It won't matter very much if you can't buy one.

Grace is an 84-core ARM chip with a fat-pipe LPDDR5 interconnect, designed to service the next-gen GPU in 2023. So I think that's Lovelace.

NVIDIA is done with with Intel, AMD, and even Power chips now. They've gone full in-house.

Just imagine, we'll soon see scalpers on ebay buying up all the $5 raspberrypi's and scalping them for $5000 now for grinding crypto. It's Nvidia's new ARM endgame.

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.
