greetings,
Friends, I need help.
My 1080ti is weird.
The GPU clock and the memory clock are standard settings.
The temperature reaches 59 degrees in idle mode. Playing the maximum temperature is 65 degrees.
I put the monitor on a low frequency of 60 Hz. GPU usage is low, with low temperature.
If I put the monitor's frequency at maximum, like 280hz the GPU gets high temperature, with a very high clock and a temperature of 59 degrees.
I have already looked at the system processes.
I used the DDU unistaller to install a new clean driver.

Please, can anyone help me ?
thanks

Sounds like it is working correctly.  If you don't want high idle clocks and high idle temperatures, drop your monitor refresh rate down when you don't need high refresh rate.  There is benefit to using 280 Hz while viewing the desktop, right?

In the release notes for the driver
https://us.download.nvidi...win7-release-notes.pdf
you have multiple displays connected it states:

"GPU Runs at a High Performance Level in Multi-display Modes This is a hardware limitation with desktop and older notebook GPUs, and not a software bug. When multiple displays are connected and active, the GPU will always operate with full clock speeds in order to efficiently drive multiple displays–even when no 3D programs are running."

As ty_ger pointed out you can sometimes get around this and the GPU will use lower clock states by reducing the refresh rate. However, running at a higher clock rate for stability is normal and as designed when running multiple monitors.

Thanks for the answer.
The clocks are stable and low, even using 3 monitors.
It increases when I change the monitor's hz frequency to a maximum update of 280 Hz.
But while everything is idle, the clocks are almost the same when I'm playing, the difference is very small.
This is a problem ?
see the image below, all in idle.

As we have both stated pretty clearly, that is normal. I'm sure you've looked around the internet and seen many reports of the same thing with the same answers. It is in the release notes. I don't know what else to add.

I have found some reports on the internet exactly as you said. Thank you for your contribution. Good games.
