Z15 intermittently not recognized at boot on MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon w/Ryzen 7 2700X

Spent part of today verifying everything from BIOS to chipset to RBG Unleashed are up to date.
 
Sitting at Win10/64 boot screen I can unplug and plug the keyboard back in and it will then be recognized.
 
Living with it a few weeks now. Happy to hear any constructive suggestions! Thanks.

    It might be an issue that AMD has worked on.  USB drop outs causing mice / keyboard
    s and more to disconnect and reconnect  and the like.  You might try moving the keyboard to USB 3.0 slot for now.

    Thanks and yes, I've been watching that. My system is supposedly not supposed to be affected. I've installed the latest chipset drivers again and we'll see how she is in the morning. But you're exactly right. The next step is different ports. But the mice and keyboards have always gone in the same two slots... LOL

    Update: a couple of days after my last post the problem recurred. I've since moved the X15 to a USB 3.1 Gen 1 port and have had no further issues. I'm hoping for some kind of update from MSI might fix it in the future. If so, I'll report back! Thanks!
