The fan speed will not load when I have "Start with OS" and "Apply previous settings on load" enabled in SETUP. When PX1 is reloaded everything loads up automatically correctly except the fan speed. It doesn't load at all, so I have to manually load the profile to get the fans speed to apply.

This has always been an issue regardless of PX1 version or Windows (fresh install).

Any ideas? I've tried uninstalling PX1 completely with Revo Uninstaller and then reinstalled PX1 fresh but nothing.

Thanks...

Sounds pretty normal. Precision has moods.
I got lucky when I installed an older version, think it was 1.1.0 or 1.1.1, it successfully applied the OC and fan profile on load and haven't touched it since.

Yeah, I've gotten the fan profile on load to work a few times, but there is no rhyme or reason why it does. Right now I can't get it to stick for the life of me!

Yep, I understand you. I own an older card (2080Ti FTW3), but it also has the same fan issues. After a lot of trial and error I just gave up on Precision and decided to let it be. I even considered at some point disconnecting the fans from the card and control them externally with a PWM hub (with the right adapters), but decided that its not worth the extra 50 bucks. Kind of annoying that you spend premium on a card, only to realize that it can only work with its own software that is buggy and inconsistent.

Does anyone else have any insight on this?

Hmmm..No problem here with Win10 Home or Pro or Win7 Home, 64-bit..Using PX1 1.1.8 right now, but didn't have a problem with previous versions either.

I just enable the Fan Curve Control button and make my own fan curve or use a Custom Preset and click Apply.

I guess the only thing I can do here is give you some insight on how PX1 works, or should work..'Apply previous settings on load' loads an overclock only, not any fan curve..The currently applied fan curve should be applied when PX1 loads, no matter what.

'Apply previous settings on load' will load an overclock whether PX1 runs or not because the overclock is written to the graphics driver and is applied when Windows loads.

Maybe see if an older version works better, or run PX1 as administrator.

Regardless if I set the fan speed manually (85%) or set it to auto with a fan curve, when I exit out of PX1 the fan setting stays on but as soon as I open PX1 again it disables the previous fan speed that I was using. I then have to manually load the profile that I saved the fan speed to enable it again. Really sucks if you are relying on the fan speed to also load with your other OC setting if your PC reboots.

I read through PX1 troubleshooting thread and have administrator enabled. On rare occasions, I can get the fan speeds to stick but there is no rhyme or reason why it does.

Remember that after making changes, you need to 'Apply' and 'Save' them using the buttons at the bottom. Works for me every time on 2080Ti/Win 10/PX1 1.1.8.
No need to apply settings on load.

I do that every time, multiple times, but it makes no difference. The OC setting save and are applied on reloading PX1. The fan settings save but are NOT applied on reloading PX1.

What is up with this program!? Sometimes the fan profile load on startup and other times it does not. I'm currently at the "will not load", pulling my hair out phase of dealing with this frustrating program!!
