1.1.8 Fan4 (Ext fan) is no longer sharing the fan curve from the other fans. Fan4 will not spin up when temps ramp up. Fan4 will only activate if manually selected level. This is for both OC and Normal Bios's 3080 FTW3 Ultra - latest Re-sizeBAR bios.

I have the same exact issue after updating to Re-size bar bios on my 3080 FTW3 Ultra. Ext Fan header will no longer spin my case fans irrespective of temps.

I also have the same issue after updating the bios on my 3090 FTW3 Ultra. Ext will no longer spin my fans no matter the temps.

steps to reproduce :
1. take a 3080 FTW3 Ultra
2. Flash XOC 450W bios on both Normal and OC switches
3. Install and boot 1.1.7 PX1
4. Open PX1 1.1.7
5. Allow all updates to the card (MCU ect)
6. Uninstall PX1 1.1.7
7. Install and boot 1.1.8 PX1
8. Initiate the BIOS update procedure
9. Reboot to find fan issues with reporting on Fan3 and no fan curve for Fan4 (ext)

My FTW3 Ultra 3090 has got a new related problem. I've noticed the problem with it defaulting randomly to rainbow-puke RGB mode isn't fixed. But on top of that now, when it happens, my 4th fan stops. And I have it set as one of my rear exhaust fans. So that is unaccaptable right there and this should be fixed/addressed immediately. I'm now worried about going to work soon. I hope I don't come back to a rebooted system because it overheated.

So, here's the deal with the External fan header -
The external fan header does not have a default fan curve or share one in auto mode. In the next version, we will change to default to 30%.
The alternative is that you can create a software fan curve profile for all fans in the fan curve menu.

What fan do you have? How is the fan configured in PX1? What fan percentages?
Mine is set as the same curve as the rest of the fans. I have a Noctua 140mm connected as exhaust. 3 times in the last 24 hours now, Precision has crashed and stopped the 4th fan in the process. This also happens whenever the RGB decides to randomly change to rainbow-puke mode. Something else I mentioned as well as many other users that hasn't been fixed or even addressed, as far as I know.

Are you sure that it's PX1 that's crashed, or is it possible that the graphics drivers crashed and PX1 crashed along with it?
Check through your Event Viewer logs to see if the VGA drivers have crashed. If that's the case, that may explain the rest.

Regardless. When it used to crash, it would only take out my RGB profile. Now when it crashes, it takes the 4th fan out, presumably resetting to the default fan curve which does not include the extension fan. I could live with the RGB screwing up but this is unacceptable. Neither of these issues started happening until I "upgraded" to 1.1.6 a while back. Unable to roll back due to the firmware updates that go with. SO PLEASE FIX THIS. This is literally costing me money because I can't mine and leave it unattended now.

It just happened again already. Unreal. I checked the event viewer and there wasn't even anything logged for the last 10 minutes. This is on you, EVGA. FIX IT FAST!
