Let's wait to find out if it actually does anything meaningful before requesting that it is expanded to other cards.
I couldn't help but notice that it was announced that Galax and Gainward have released a resizable BAR update, yet there is no exciting news about the results.  No news isn't always good news. ;)
Also, NVIDIA is restricting support to specific games, and I don't own or play any of the 8 (that's all! eight!) supported games, so I couldn't care less.

AMD fans, usually being second tier, seem to have a propensity for exaggerating benefits especially when tagged with a cute name like 'Smart Access Memory'.  If you think about it logically, the benefits would be limited and more forward looking than benefiting existing games. It appears to help the most in low resolution scenarios and in reducing FPS mins caused by asset loading hitches.

At the moment i don't believe there is any focus on older platforms getting resizable bar support, EVGA's main focus at this time is strictly 30 series RTX and supporting the previous 20 Series RTX with small updates here and there and of course warranty support.

How about on your X99 boards? Relatively quick and it's already on other vendors boards.

Nvidia will start with the recent and work with the old later on. At this point, you can wait out and see how it goes and plays out

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

It's supposed to, but I'm not holding my breath.   I have a feeling it will be unnoticeable to the untrained eye.

I think it is going to be fairly trivial performance upgrades where it does work for now. Eventually Game Developers will probably take more advantage of it and it will have better performance implications.

I'll be surprised if more than 3% gains in performance come out of it

From benchmarks it looks like at 1080p SAM/Rebar is actually both avg 5% boost. But at 4k and some games 1440p neither makes a difference.

Isnt resizable bar technically compatible with Intel all the way back to Broadwell as part of the pcie spec too? I mean theoretically it should be possible for any nvidia/intel combo since 2016 but its easier to not spend the money on development and have you buy new hardware

I think it would fair as well as enabling RT on a 1080........you can do it, but at what cost?

Resizable bar is only a performance increase. Not additional graphical functionality.

I wish we could get ReBAR support for Pascal but I think the days of this architecture getting any updates beyond driver updates are long gone

I think Nvidia want everyone to buy the new RTX 30 series GPU. I can't imagine they spend time supporting ReBAR for old card....

Would be great to have support on more cards, but this is a feature we'll probably only see offered on the latest models.

I would be curious to know if this is even technically possible from a hardware perspective.  Obviously it is heavily dependent on CPU configuration.  Whether it will be supported by older GPUs is an entirely different question (seems like a low ROI for most companies), but I am curious to know regarding the hardware limitations and requirements for the implementation (at least from the gpu side).
