Original 1080 FTW ACX that I want to give to a friend... Do I need to mod it?

I remember there was an issue with the ACX sensors or something and EVGA offered to replace it with an ICX version(?) at some point but I didn't. I have a friend who could use a card but afraid of giving him a card that might have issues. What should I do?

    Have you been using the card without issues? I would hazard that simply giving it to your friend is not going to suddenly cause the card to have issues.  If you're actually asking if your GPU needs the thermal mod, you can find that out here:  https://www.evga.com/thermalmod/
