EVGA Marketplace - Why can't I access it?

Any time I try to click on any thread, including the thread labeled 'To Get Access', I get redirected to EVGA.com.
I'm guessing I missed something obvious somewhere. Can someone help me out?

    How long does it usually take to process the request?  I submitted a request 2 days ago.

    In order to gain access to the marketplace, you must have 50 or more posts.

    I don't know why some people get so excited over the marketplace here. It's not like that's where we're all selling the RTX 30 cards for MSRP. The marketplace is mostly a ghost town here. As someone who sells quite a few things, most of my deals are made on other forums if I'm being completely honest as they just don't get a lot of foot traffic here so to speak.

    As CraptacularOne mentioned, I too don't know why others are so anxious to get into the marketplace area.
     
    Maybe the admins don't want a ton of newbies in there spamming the place but in over 50 years, this is the only forum out of thousands I frequented over the decades that are INCAPABLE of setting that area to READ ONLY to prevent users from posting until certain guidelines are met. Seems to me that they need to fix & update their forums to a modern one that will allow them to set various read only parameters for certain areas & other such parameters :o)

    Over on reddit, there is someone impersonating me right now, scamming people.  They have been banned from the Hardwareswap pages, yet they continue to message people with exactly what they are asking for, and then taking their money and not sending the product.
     
    Read only doesn't stop people from sending messages to someone that is selling an item, and attempting to scam them.
