Hey guys,

Just bought this beautiful motherboard, everything works great so far, i only have this problem: i've plugged in my 5.1 surround system into the integrated realtek audio ports and when setting the settings to "5.1 speakers" the subwoofer and rear speakers are not working.

When using "quadraphonic" (4.0) the rear speaker are working.

I've searched a bit on google and found that some other people are reporting this problem with other realtek audio which seems to be a driver problem with the latest Windows 10 update.

I've been using the driver provided by evga on their website and can't find a more recent one on realtek website.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem or should i contact EVGA support directly about it?

Thanks!

Probably the auto detect for ports is enabled and when you plugged in the sub, it defaulted to an input not an output. Common with the Realtek driver. See if you unplug and plug back it in if a menu will pop up; if so, change to Sub output.

That is me in the picture, anyone else ever pet a live Lion?

Hey there. The EVGA drivers are.... I was recently using the onboard Realtek but went back to using my Phoebus 7.1. There's the latest drivers here, yes you can use the driver install package from ASUS and it will install fine on your EVGA board. It doesn't care about board brand, only the sound codec and chipset.

Also make sure that the outputs are set correctly. A couple of drivers by default set the 7.1 surround channels to an input disabling 7.1. In the Realtek control panel you can configure them. Make sure each output is set to the correct channel.
