Yeah I was really hoping they could do me a solid and just get me a new shroud. I wouldn't mind waiting in a queue for that. Kinda bummed I have to send the entire thing back

To be honest if I were you I soooo wouldn't.

I'd just rather give them a call every week or so to check if they have shrouds back in stock.

The Card is working correctly and the film protector is off. looks like it could be a factory defect.

I really hope i didnt spend that much on a used card :/

The card is back in the box now, submitting a support ticket and hopefully they can help me out.

Given the stock situation, and since you've got a functional 3080, checking you do know about the Advance RMA purchase option ( Original owner can add within 30days of purchase ) if you're in the US lower 48 right? ( https://www.evga.com/support/ear/ )  That way it's game on until they've got the RMA 3080 and it's at your door, PLUS you get the opportunity to ensure you don't get the rare RMA-also-has-an-issue or shipping damage situation!   Dibs on your unit once RMA'd

I honestly would not send it back for that. If its running as it should. If you got it directly from EVGA you may be able to do it without an RMA but due to the supply of cards right now its very unlikely to impossible. It will also cost you do to an RMA to Advanced RMA on a perfectly good card. Honestly its up to you, but I would just be happy I have a 30 series card and a 3080 FTW3 Ultra at that.
