Hello,

I've just purchased an EVGA RTX 3090 Ultra XC3 and it was doing well for the first few days until last night I installed Precision X1 v1.1.7.0 for the first time to try and change the LED colours.  The app prompted me to update the firmware on startup which it did.  After a reboot, I used the app to change the LED colour and went to bed.  By the morning, the computer had crashed and it seems Windows cannot detect the GPU anymore.  I've changed ports, cables and PSU's but it just seems bricked.  Any help is appreciated.

Specs:

Motherboard: Asus Z390-P
RAM: 8GB G.Skill Aegis 3000mHz x1
SSD: 120GB Kingston
CPU: Intel Core i5-9600KF
PSU: Cougar 1050W Gold
OS: Windows 10 64bit
GPU: EVGA RTX 3090 Ultra XC3

    Hi nim.rose,

Sorry this happened with your 3090 after a PX1 firmware update.  It sounds like there was an issue after the update.  Did you switch between another 3090 before the update, by chance?

Try re-seating the GPU in the PCIE slot, and run DDU/Display Driver uninstalled in safe mode.  If the GPU is still not responding, please send us a support ticket, for a possible RMA.

I see you have a support ticket started.  We will go ahead and setup an RMA.

    Regards,
    EVGA

    Hi PeterN,

I've just attempted the Safe Mode + DDU, but the video card is still undetected.
I have submitted an RMA - thank you.

Yeah, but who's to say it won't happen again..If you have any graphics at all from the 3090, or another card to use for graphics, I would try the RTX30 MCU Update/Downdate Tool to manually re-flash the MCU and see if it works like in the last paragraph of post 14..Then if no joy is found, continue with the RMA.

Any idea how I can flash it in the MCU Update/Downdate Tool if it cannot be detected?  It seems I have to input a GPU device #.
