Any tips to get W7 to install or access an existing install?
Trying to install from a ISO burned to a DVD, not sure what driver it wants...
When trying to access an existing install it just reboots at the W7 splash screen after about 5-6 seconds.

You do realize of course that Windows 7 will NOT support the majority of the latest Direct X 12 games? You can play the latest games but the newest effects may not be possible with Windows 7.

For one thing and if you haven't already, in the BOOT section of the BIOS, it's necessary to set Windows 7 Installation from the default of Disabled to Enabled like I have to in my mobo's BIOS..Then you might find joy also.

That setting was already correct, working on Intel RST option now.

I prefer installing from USB, myself.

Might try ASUS EZ Installer from either here or here to add the necessary Intel SATA/USB Drivers and from then on you may be able to see your CD/DVD device and install Windows 7..Not sure if it works for any boards other than ASUS though, but I do believe it just installs the generic Intel drivers needed.

Update your Win 7 installation media
Windows 7 Forums Installation & Setup
    Windows-ISO-Downloader.exe: Download Windows 7 .iso (August 2018)
Intel RST Driver Package (f6flpy-x64.zip for browsing to iaStorAC and iaAHCIC for driver inclusion during Windows Setup)

Some of that info should get you up and running..And be sure Windows 7 Installation is enabled in the BIOS-> BOOT section..Good luck.

I migrated an install from another PC and it works fine. All drivers worked in Win 7. Check the Win Raid forums on how to do a fresh install.
