Well not too many reviews out there, with Johnny Guru no longer doing reviews, buying or picking a PSU is a nightmare unless you go with corsair. One of the techs here said the EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G5 220-G5-0850-X1 is a great PSU but would like to hear from some of the owners, even if your a staff member still want to hear what you have to say. Bought this on amazon tonight to replace my death trap psu... So would like to hear from some people. I own an EVGA supernova 850 GA and it works great, but it's not the G5.
Im sure you've heard of the LTT power supply tier list, if you haven't here it is:
the G5 is listed in B Tier so it's pretty good

Was hoping for a top tier. Oh well, at least it’s better than the monstrosity in my case right now until tonight. With Johnny Guru not doing psu reviews anymore it’s gotten a lot more challenging.

Used to have a 750 G5, and would not recommend it. While it powered everything fine, fan was silent, good build quality and nice cables, but I just could not stand the coil whine from it. RMA'd it, the 2nd G5 they sent me was DOA. RMA'd that one, and they sent my back my original PSU. So just sold it on FB marketplace and bought a Seasonic GX-750, could not be happier. Silent, smaller foot print than he G5, better cables for basically the same price as the G5.

I have the G5 850 Donta BUT your gonna hate me for this.... its still sitting brand new in the box. I have so many psu's that i just dont need to use it yet. Ill let ya know if i do though.
