I was having gpu under light load (MSFS2020 menu window in the background) while having PX1 open in front of me when by very lucky coincidence I saw that all of the fans on the graphics card stopped and "Fan Curve Control" got unchecked. Literally.

Is this like a planned way to damage the gpu so I have to buy a new one?

    Hi Carenath,

I am sorry the GPU fans turned off during MSFS2020.  This sounds like an application error.  I recommend to update Precision X1 to v1.1.7.0 if it is on an earlier version.  Make sure to apply and save the settings, and no other fan control application are running in the background, that may interfere with settings.

The default (card) fan control will stop some fans by design, too.
Here's mine (a 2080Ti) with the fan control disabled in Precision

I was in the custom fan control window when this happened (I always use custom curves). The problem is that I saw it got unchecked without my control.

Odd, this just happened to me today as well.

I wasn't playing a game though. I simply have/had my fans at a set speed. I noticed fan 4 (case fan connected to the card) was at 0% (should be 70%) and turned down the other fans low to see if I could get it to ramp up. It did not. Closed X1 and reopened and fan 4 was gone. Closed the app again, and my fans started ramping up to max speed and down again. Reopened X1 again and all my fans were set to 0% across the board, but fan 4 was there again. After that, I was able to turn them all back up to previous values. This is on the latest 1.1.7.

If this continues to happen, I would suggest to uninstall PX1, clean out the profile folder in AppData, then reinstall. IF you should continue to have issues after this please post with screen shots if possible.

Happens to me every time i apply any overclock (memory, gpu, power, etc...).  It disable the automatic fan control, just need to re-enable it.
