So I need some advice.

I going to try to do a layout which keeps the tubes as "out of the way" as possible, whilst also setting up the loop to eventually incorporate a block for the GPU as well (just add the tubes to run to & from it and it's ready to roll later).

I have a 480mm radiator incoming (60mm thicc EK XE model), that I'm going to put in the front of my case... then I can put the 360 possibly at the bottom, if not, definitely at the top (or I can buy another 480 later to put at the top if I wanna be real crazy).  How would y'all do the tubing layout yourselves?

I'm thinking Pump to CPU to 480 at the front, then later on that would go to the GPU block, but for now, it'll go down to the 360, then from the 360 back up to the res/pump combo.

How my setup is now:

My "plan" :

Blue would assumably be cooled liquid, red would be warm exhaust of something.

Keep in mind it's soft tubing so it'll be very manuverable... and until I get the GPU in, I'd probably run Pump to CPU to 480 to 360 to pump, or just not add the 360 in to the loop until the GPU block is a thing.

The order is not as critical as you might think, especially for extended running.

Once the loop is saturated the system will stabilized until the fan RPM increases or the ambient temp of the room drops.

As long as the pump is gravity feed by the loop & never runs dry, you can do what you want.

There is some logic in benchmarks & other "short sprints" .... organizing the loop to make the temp control, best possible to the device that requires the lowest temp.  The difference in your bench score would be limited at best ... a colder room or chiller would help more

Exactly what Cool GTX said. The order matters less for sustained workloads because the entire loop will reach a water temp equilibrium regardless of the order. Your arrangement looks fine to me.

I might look at some right-angle fittings though, see if it was possible to directly connect the two radiators together with the ports both located at the lower-right corner of the case. It would simplify tubing a lot and for sustained loads it won't matter anyway to run them in series.

I have 2 right angles & 2 45s already waiting to go in, pretty sure that's all I should need.  I'm not sure the 360 is going to fit where I want to put it, with the 480 also installed.  We'll see when it gets here, 480mm should be here Friday or so.

Good luck then! Figuring out the spacing is always half the fun in a new build...

Here is how I run my custom loop with 2 radiators, I dropped my cpu temp down 10c from just 1 360 rad I dont like to dump warm fluid into my gpu that's why I added a 240 rad this works for me.

pump into 360 rad out rad to cpu block then out the cpu block into the 240 rad then out to my gpu and back to my res.

That's pretty much what I'm thinking about doing.  For now, I'm probably just going to set it up with just the 480mm, then when I get closer to actually being able to get a block on my card, I'll plan out adding the 360 back in.  Most likely I'll do the 360 up top, have the CPU go in to that, out of that in to the GPU, then out the GPU in to the 480, and back to the pump to start again.  That's going to be way more heat dissipation that I actually need, at least I think so, especially since the 480mm is a 60mm thick monster.

Yeah there are a lot of youtube videos out there showing the temp difference is negligible. Do whatever floats your boat and don’t lose sleep over it.

Decided to forgo the double radiator setup for now, but I might add it in later when I add the GPU to the loop.  The 480mm XE radiator did drop my CPU temps another few degrees, so that's nice - it'll also allow me to run the fans silently all the time, if I want to, because of the extra heat dissipation.
Looking forward to getting a 10900K or 11900K since they apparently both run cooler than the 9900K does.

Ian's early article would seem to indicate otherwise...  a 11700K was putting out power draw within 6w of the 9900KS. I'm sure the 11900K will be higher. Both were well above the 10700K.
