These BIOS updates address a security vulnerability reported by Intel:

BIOS 1.15/1.14/1.13 Updates
  • Update ME FW 11.8.80.3746 for Intel security vulnerability
         134-KS-E379-KR - EVGA Z370 Classified K - v1.15
         134-KS-E377-KR - EVGA Z370 FTW - v1.14
         121-KS-E375-KR - EVGA Z370 Micro ATX - v1.13

Windows Installation
  • Download the correct .zip file above for your motherboard.
  • First go into your BIOS and load defaults, save and exit
  • Close all open programs.
  • Go into the folder where you unzipped this package and open update.bat
  • Press Y to start the flash process
  • DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR RESET DURING THE FLASH PROCESS
  • After the flashing is finished, the system will automatically shut down. Then power on again and go into BIOS to setup.
  • NOTE: If flash box immediately closes after flash attempt, the flash may need to be ran from a CMD prompt with administrator privileges or DOS version.

BIOS Installation
  • Extract the contents of .zip file to USB flash drive (must be formatted as FAT32)
  • Reboot the machine and go into the system BIOS
  • From the BIOS, navigate to the Save & Exit tab and open "Select BIOS File."
  • Select the .bin file you wish to flash.

Please let me know if anyone runs into problems with this update.  Thanks!

I did try 1.13 Bios, and ended up needing to flash back to v1.12.
    Motherboard EVGA z370 Micro 121-KS-E375-KR
    issues I encountered

    - Unable to power off properly, Unit would shutdown but all fans and LED's would stay on.
    - Power on hang, system would take 15-20 seconds to post.
    - System lock up, System would lock up at random and become unresponsive for 1-5 seconds.

    Specs:
    Intel Core i9 9900FK.
    2x Patriot Viper 16GB @3000mhz
    1x EVGA RTX 2070m XC
    1x Patriot P400 512GB MVMe
    1x EVGAGQ+ 750w

I will try again in the future

Have you try switch BIOS Chip Select 2 to test boot up so if boot okay then you can try update flash firmware on BIOS Chip Select 1 from your USB stick?
Make sure you have default back your BIOS setting before update firmware.....
Try boot up BIOS Chip Select 1!

I didn't try Bio's chip 2, But I did try updating the Bios via the .bin file vs the .msi file and it seems to be working. I no longer have the ability to use E-LEET X software on my RGB's but thats pretty meh.

    Thanks for the suggestion tho!

I had none of those issues with 9700K, maybe something went wrong with the flash.
For RGB control you can install the older precision X ( I had 6.2.7) ,even with no Nvidia gpu. Open led sync from the program files folder and then you can uninstall precision x, led sync will remain. Don't know why they didn't just make a stand alone version. If you want to use eleetx for overclocking v1.03 seems to work better on the micro.

My issue is the motherboard power throttling on bios 1.12 and 1.13. Clock speeds drop heavily when exceeding about 160w VRout even at low temperatures.

evga did not add the manual ability to edit RTL IOL, these are very bad developers who limit my bios, I wrote to them for 6 months communicating with "evgatech_leem" but they never made an update, I am very sorry for the effort spent

Sorry guys, our BIOS team is impacted by a lot of things going on right now, but an official release is undergoing final testing.  I do have a test BIOS for Resizable BAR now if someone wants to give it a try.  Just let me know which Z370 board you have and I'll send it to you.

Thanks for the update. Will the new bios solve the power throttling issue on 9th gen or is there a workaround?

I think all the evga boards are dual bios so as long as the backup bios is on a version that is compatible with your cpu, there is little to no risk.
