Why do Hybrid Cooler Kits only come with a one year warranty?

Just find it interesting that they are around the same price as the CLC coolers, which come with a 5 year warranty. Just curious as one just died on me after 2 months.

    Yes, pump started failing, making horrible scratching/refrigerator sounds. Temperatures were starting to go bad by the time I got the replacement.

    I've often wondered this myself.
     
    Hybrid cards come with a 3 year warranty extendable to up to 10 years.  CLCs come with 5 years.  But the Hybrid Kit only comes with 1.
     
    I guess they're factoring in profit/loss after some people break theirs on install?  Who knows.

    That's the thing though, the worst thing you can break with installation is your graphics card, and that is still covered by a 3 year warranty, but even then EVGA can void any warranty for any of their products if you damage it from a bad installation (ex. putting the card on backwards and breaking the PCIe connector). It feels a bit weird that they wouldn't trust the reliability of this cooler to at least cover the length of warranty of the card.
