Diablo VI and Overwatch 2 will not be released this year | OC3D News (overclock3d.net) During the company's latest earnings call, Activision Blizzard confirmed to shareholders that Overwatch 2 and Diablo IV will not be released during the 2021 financial year, stating that neither game will impact their next 2021 financials. No impact means no game sales, and no games sales means no 2021 release for either title. With Blizzard failing to announce a release date for either game, neither title has been officially delayed. Both games are now expected to release in 2022, though a later release date is possible. Blizzard has been quiet about both games so far, giving us little room to estimate Blizzard's release plans. We expect to hear more about both games at BlizzCon, which will be hosted online on February 19th. Blizzard is expected to release new information about all of their new and upcoming games, showcasing new game trailers and announcements for all of their major franchises. While Diablo 4 will not release this year, the franchise's mobile spin-off Diablo Immortal is due to release sometime in 2021. Blizzard is also reportedly working on a Diablo 2 remake, which could be revealed at BlizzCon. That is terrible news. Diablo 4 is the one game I was looking forward to this year.

I assume they will try to shove out the door the Diablo II 'remake' this year....

I look forward to the Diablo ll remake. I hope they do not shove it out the door. Maybe the delay in the other two releases allows for a better remaster for Diablo ll, the best game so far in the series. I miss losing days playing that game.

Oh well... I was looking forward to seeing Blizzard fall on their face again with those two completely used up franchises.
Maybe Blizzard will come out with a unique franchise again... someday... maybe...

I have no idea how the coverage was in the USA. But a German games magazine reported a lot about the newly introduced class of the hunter and of course you think of d2 java / bowa ... but ... all i read was: oh d3 demon hunter .... waaeeeh ... (well well, I've played demon hunter over 2k h in d3 ... anyway! Hunter> demon hunter - end) Personally, I'm a lot more interested in a really good D2 remake than D4. But hey .... so you have at least 2 chances that at least one will be good ^^

I'm looking forward to both of these titles. I haven't played Diablo since Diablo II, so a new title would be a fun way to get back into the series.
