I’m pressed for time, my father in law is visiting next weekend he’s a retired electrician and we’re going to install a wall outlet behind my Lg CX and also route some cables. I bought the Ruipro gen 3 33ft fiber optics cable and verified with their rep that it works good. But after testing it past couple of days I can only get it to work as it should half the time. I moved my stereo, modem and router. During my testing I found for some reason the router seems to affect the performance of the cord the most. When I swap out the $200 Ruipro for my $20 10 ft zeiket 2.1 it works perfect. Can anyone with a founders 3090 recommend a working 35 ft hdmi 2.1 cord I can route I n my walls?

Hmm, unfortunately I'm only seeing extenders supporting up to HDMI 2.0 with 4K@60Hz.

I am going to move this to general hardware as this isn’t about a GPU or an EVGA product.

For that amount of bandwidth a fiber optic HDMI cable is the only HDMI option. Looks like Monoprice only has a single choice at the length you need https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=38629 It uses plastic instead of a glass core, so it will be slightly more durable but you still shouldn't put any bends in it regardless.

Thanks for the post! Reading the reviews looks like it’s working for some and not others. Fortunately I’m going to install pvc in the walls so at least it shouldn’t be to difficult swapping out the cable outside of going in the attic. Ruipro reached out and said they’ll be sending me their current cable for testing. I’ll circle back after using it.

Being that the router is affecting the fiber run the most it could be the signal tx/rx, including tv, messing with a long run like that. Installing the 10ft run making the issue go away is also another reason to think that. Your not suppose to run hdmi longer than 25 ft and for 4k no longer than 10 ft. To go farther you would have to get a active hdmi setup, like they do with usb to spank the signal. Of course, a fiber optic cable is a different story and can run farther but with long runs they can be susceptible to interference too. The hdmi fiber are also marked source on one end and display on the other end of the fiber line connectors, maybe you got them backwards?

Yeah, I don't know enough about the hybrid design to say. The visual data is part of the fiber optic core, so that part can't be electrical interference. But be very careful not to overbend your new Rupiro cable, glass cores are exactly that, glass. When you bend a regular cable the metal core will thin but stretch... the glass/plastic polymer core will just crack and it permanently degrades the light transmission quality the more it's damaged.
