So, it seems a fresh install is needed to confirm that CSM is disabled or enabled?

To -CONFIRM- is it enabled or disabled? What gave you that idea? If your BIOS is telling you it is disabled/enabled then that is what it -IS-. Otherwise show us -CLEARLY- -with screenshots- what makes you unsure what is it on your system.

hum...

temperature drop at equal Vcore vs 1.18 bios (x299 micro 2 + 9820x), no core per core issues, and i can reach a higher clock speed!

What should be the maximum vcore for a 9820x ? 1,4v ? more ?

Sooooo AMD 6800, 6800XT and 6900XT confirmed gets stuck at error code 92 and I must turn on CSM.......

X299 FTW3 and X299 Dark confirmed I tested 6800 and 6900XT with a 9800X and get error 92

https://itigic.com/error-92-nvram-on-amd-rx-6800-how-to-fix-it/

Why is no one talking about this?? ^^

I have a shiny new test BIOS for the X299 DARK that should fix the issue.  Up for testing?

Installed the bios. I was able to get it past code 92, however when it boots to windows, the screen goes blank and monitor says no display port signal.

So at this point the 6800XT card needs to have CSM enabled otherwise it won't show a display in Windows. The problem still remains that the Resizable bar support can't be enabled for this card due to how it has to have CSM on and the board has to have it off.

Sent you a PM Lee with my findings.

I experienced the same black screen. Issue was resolved when I installed a fresh copy of Windows whilst CSM was disabled in the BIOS.

Is that what I'm going to have to do reinstall windows? If that's the case that will need to be a weekend project cause I don't have the time to do that tonight. Does the Resizable bar work once you reinstall windows then?

I received the beta BIOS earlier today with ~45 minutes to spare, before leaving for work. Error 92 issue is resolved in this release.

Set the following in BIOS:`

 - Enable resize bar
 - Disable CSM
 - Enable 4G decoding (If 4G decoding is not enabled in BIOS, system fails during POST with error 'd4' showing on the MB LED - ***Video below)

Windows booted to Black screen.

Installed Fresh load of Windows 10 20H2 on a spare SSD, with CSM disabled. Loaded system & AMD drivers, and found system posting & loading Windows ok.

That's all I had time for. Will perform more testing sometime over the weekend.

*** - Error d4 during POST if 4G decoding is left disabled, after enabling resize bar:

Ok, had time today to tear down the cpu and get it ready to check this out. So here's the deal. As of this posting, I was able to set the setting in bios to disable CSM, enable 4g decoding and enable resizable bar.
That being said, I was able to install windows just fine. However, when I went to install the AMD Graphic drivers system went to black screen. Tried to reboot, boots to black screen. Went into bios and turned off 4G decoding and Resizable bar and the system boots. It has to be something in the AMD drivers that is causing this issue, it's the only constant across the board.

Whoever said they got this working, what AMD drivers did you use? I used the newest version.

Same here, with latest AMD drivers and a Radeon6900XT. No video signal (black screen)

I'll be following this thread closely before 3090 receives reBAR support.

Besides the issue with AMD cards, how is this bios treating you guys so far?

xuqi99, so resize bar works with you and did check perf. before-after?
I really want this to work, but I won't reinstall windows alone for this, I simpley don't have the space if I would.

Lee, do you have any idea whats happening and will Evga look at the issue for R6000 GPU's?

The bios is rock solid stable except for the issues with the 6000 series AMD cards. I have my OC rocking stable, ram timings are good etc. Biggest issue is for those of us with AMD 6000 cards.

I will fill in a ticket with AMD about this if none has done yet, this has to be possible to work?

I was curious, will enabling hardware accelerated gpu scheduling in windows help with reBAR? Do the two work together to further improve performance? Or should you disable HAGS while using reBAR
