Hello!
 
As titled, I was fortunate enough to find someone locally who was selling a brand new, sealed, EVGA RTX 3070 FTW3 ULTRA for barely over retail! So, of course, i arranged to meet up and bought it immediately. This card is a monster!!! So, fast forward a week- it's time to get this thing registered and under my EVGA account. The dude I bought it from had originally purchased it from the EVGA Amazon in December, and showed me a screen shot of the order, but I needed the actual .pdf invoice, so I requested he send it, and he did. HOWEVER, the .pdf he sent me has his address blocked out, (which I understand someone doing that for privacy concerns), but I am wondering:
 
Question 1: Is the blocked out address going to be problematic when I go to upload the invoice to register the GPU?
Question 2: How do I go about properly registering this GPU considering that I purchased it brand new and still sealed from a private party who bought it direct from EVGA Amazon store at the end of December 2020? Is there anything different about the registration process?
 
I couldn't find any real clear answer to my question on the forums, so any help is greatly appreciated! :)

First and foremost, you need a receipt/invoice from the seller. His receipt will not work for you, you need one from him showing the sale to you.

As far as I am aware, EVGA doesn’t have their own store on Amazon. Amazon typically has an “EVGA store”, but the products are from third party resellers, so it is confusing. Does his invoice says sold and shipped by EVGA?

 
Thanks for your response- So, I am a little confused; Can you please explain exactly why I need a bill of sale from the Facebook seller whom I met in person with and purchased this GPU from with cash?
 
As far as where the card was originally purchased from- The invoice shows that it was in fact shipped and sold by Amazon, under the "EVGA Store", however NOT shipped or sold by a 3rd party Amazon reseller. In other words, the GPU was purchased from Amazon.com funder the "EVGA Store " storefront, but, Amazon Services LLC was the actual seller and shipper. I know how the 3rd party sellers work within, say for example, something like the "EVGA Store" on Amazon. However, as far as this specific sale goes, the GPU was bought by the original purchaser for $609.99 at the end of Dec. 2020 from actual Amazon themselves, and received it about 10 days later in the first week of Jan. 2021. I then met up and bought it from him in person the following week.
 
Also, i feel this may or may not be relevant, but he never registered this GPU with EVGA or anything- Just bought, received, and immediately resold it to me.

As Scarlet said, regardless of you purchasing the card in brand new condition, it will still be regarded as a second hand card when you register it at EVGA. It will still have a warranty but not for as long and will not be eligible for Step Up. 

Of course, EVGATech_LeeM did all the work, I just copied and pasted.

Sorry it took so long to reply the second time, I was out and sent the first message and then forgot to follow up lol.

On my RMA they requested that I just create an invoice for myself just to show that I bought it from a person, I didn't need an actual receipt from the seller or to involve them in any way.
