UPS did this to me recently, so it's not limited to USPS.  I had a package coming in (I'm in Central FL) and saw that it was Origin scanned somewhere in the midwest and then scanned in Orlando a few days later, so I thought all was good.  Next time I checked, it had somehow made its' way to Dallas, Texas...I'm like HOW?  Package got delayed by a week because of that.  


I had the same thing with Fedex, was coming from NY to OH. Ended up going from NY to PA, PA to OH (40min from me), then OH to IN, then IN to MI, then FINALLY it was brought back to OH and delivered over a week late. 
 
USPS has been fine for me this year, which is good because the VA uses them to ship my meds lol.

UPS has been pretty all right for me, usually just takes a few days. I'm in a pretty remote part of the country too so it's been impressive even though we're normally last of the list to get things delivered. The post office though...eh...

I've only had an issue on and off with the post office and just getting a single letter for rent or to my parents for a simple forum.  Most of the time these are only going 50-100 miles away and take weeks to get where they need to go.  The midwest has been good to me for others, fedex, UPS or speedy.

A lot of delivery services are just using Covid as the reason but a lot of times it just feels like an excuse.

I have one customer waiting for a part for his wall hung natural gas boiler. After 3 and 1/2 weeks it arrived. It was sent overnight. I opened the box and they sent the wrong part. The customer is being cool about it but,,,,
We did loan him a bunch of electric heaters but , really? Looks like he will have heat in time for the cooling season

I've never had any issues. But I also haven't used usps lately. Didn't realize how bad it's gotten.
