Nu Audio Pro (latest drivers)
Initial driver installation works fine. Audio works and Nu Audio panel shows all the speakers just fine.

Problem: When I change to another Windows user account, sound doesnt play and the Nu Audio panel is empty. This is probably because no headphone/speakers are enabled while the Audio panel is empty.

Has anyone else noticed this problem?
I remember this problem existed on the original NU Audio (non Pro) card when it first came out and they resolved it in later driver releases.

Hi A123A, please give the new driver a shot.  It should fix the issue:  https://forums.evga.com/NU-Audio-Pro-Driver-Release-v102-Win10-m3213883.aspx.

Thanks for reminding me to check on the status of the driver.  BR for you.

I have discovered another bug with these new drivers which is equally crippling.

When I manually switch from Speakers/SPDIF the Nu Audio control panel "sometimes" goes into this spasm as per the video --> https://imgur.com/a/E9JMcAP
The only way I found to correct this problem is by rebooting.

Hey A123A, have you tried doing a reinstallation of the Nu Audio Software yet? Give this a try and lets us know what happens and we'll go from there.

    Yes I have.
I also noticed this happens in relation to the secondary Windows account. I have not been able to reproduce this bug (yet) on the primary account that was used to install the Nu Audio drivers.
That said, it feels like the drivers need a little more work in respect to alternate Windows accounts being used.

    Hope this helps.

Have you gone through the drivers installed on the secondary account to make sure no onboard audio drivers are present?  It seems like the device itself is dropping out, which makes me wonder if there's a driver or power saving mode feature potentially affecting the card.

Can you give me the rest of your system specs and OS build version?

    1. Onboard audio has been disabled in the bios as there is no point in keeping that enabled.
    2. I don't use power saving features
    3. Windows Server 2019 (10.0.17763.1790) on a Gigabyte Vision G with a i7-10700

But again, the flickering only happens when I switch back and forth a few times between Speaker & Spdif.

Are you running any applications at the time you're switching between Speaker and SP/DIF?  If a media program (e.g. music/video), does it matter if the content is playing when this happens?  Also, what bit-depth/sample rate are you running while switching back and forth?

I've seen what you're describing as the flickering, but under different circumstances, so I roughly know what's happening when it's not working.  In my case, it was an app that sort of crashed while I was making changes to settings, and once I closed it, everything worked again and the flickering stopped.

    1. Yes, during testing I either run YouTube in Firefox or Media Player Classic.
    2. Even if I close FF and MPC the flickering in continues on. If I close the Nu Audio app, the flickering continues upon restarting the app.
    3. If I log out of the affected account and log back in, the flickering doesn't happen anymore. (same when rebooting the PC)
    3. 24/192000

Note: On another computer with the exact same specs but with the regular Nu Audio card, the flickering doesn't happen.
