Ok so Im having problems identifying what is going on in Cyberpunk and Valhalla. I'm getting this forcefield like effect on moving objects. I think it might be the fact that these games are terribly optimized but I need some nomenclature for these problems. I have searched and search things like halo effect or ghosting but it's neither because it's not my monitor I have tried a few different monitors. DLSS doesn't help. It doesn't do it in other games like I tried Odyssey, Red Dead, and others. Is it just these games that are terrible or what? It does this to every moving object and I am losing my mind trying to figure it out. Thanks for any and all help. I'm running a 1080p monitor 144hz, 2080ti display port, with an i5 8600k. I'm getting decent frame rates but this is just confusing me and frustrating me to no end.   . youtube . com /watch?v=qT-PbJM2jrg  that is a link to a video. I used obs and didn't really have the highest recording settings but that shows the invisible forcefield that is driving me to insanity please help!!! Thank you!

Until you get 10 posts, break up links like this (or EVGA's system strips out the link): www. duckduckgo .com

Since I can't see the video, I'm going to guess that it has something to do with motion blur, a fairly standard game setting. Try turning it off in game.

Ya it's not motion blur that was the first thing I thought that it was but that did nothing to change the problem. Try that link and you'll see what I'm talking about. I just need to know what that problem is. It's like a forcefield, I can't even explain it because I don't know what it's called. It's not motion blur, it's not ghosting, it's just a pain in the ass. When I turn dlss on it helps a little but then when I drive a car or get something moving quickly I get trailing really bad and it's in game. So I don't know if these two games are just terribly optimized or what.

Never seen that in cyberpunk myself. Very odd. You get this problem over multiple driver versions?

might want to list all your system specs also -

especially the monitor brand/ model, since this sounds a lot like ghosting, blurring from fast action movement.

    * could also be the 'accessibility' settings in-game are set wrong .  Such as ;  colorblind mode settings, stereoscopic , chromic aberration ..etc...

*..or your monitors 'overdrive' pixel refresh rate  - https://linustechtips.com...around-moving-objects/

DLSS would have been my first guess as to what is causing this issue, but appears that you have already tired with and without. My next guess would be G-Sync or Free Sync issue, try disabling and see what happens.

The shimmery effect between the character and the background just around the character?

Maybe something to do with anti-aliasing?

Possibly something wonky with the anti-aliasing or other related settings.

Ok so the monitor is 1080p Acer VG271, I have it set to 144hz.
    2080ti No oc
    i5 8600k 4.3ghz
    16gb 3200mhz ram
    Display Port to monitor

It's not exclusive to this monitor it shows up with this Asus vg245 it's only 75hz but it  does the same thing.  I didn't know if there was a term for it or not. It's basically acting like there is an aura around the objects and it makes me want to scream lol. It might be anti aliasing which I tweaked in game but the settings are limited in game I may have to try something in my Nvidia control panel.

It's a byproduct of Temporal Anti-Aliasing, you can see GamersNexus discussing it here: https://youtu.be/zUVhfD3jpFE?t=952

You can really see the distortion in his videos, and how DLSS can actually make it even worse in some instances. You'll need to use something other than TAA to get rid of it.
