Really hate to see that happen just when you're ready to fire up you new build..Grrrrrr.

BIOS version 1.24 "Adds additional i9-10920X CPU support"..Chances are good that the BIOS needs updated..Version 1.25 is the latest in the EVGA Download Center.

The CPU Compatibility List says "Cascade Lake-X CPUs can boot into the BIOS with older BIOS versions, but will not function properly until updated to at least version 1.21"..But that seems to not always be true.

So you should Contact EVGA about sending you a new/updated replaceable BIOS chip you can put in yourself, or put an older CPU in it and then flash it to the latest BIOS, or take your local PC repair shop and have them do it if they have an older CPU for it laying around.

You need a new BIOS chip or if you have a programmer you can flash the BIOS yourself.

The whole Cascade Lake-X working on older BIOS' allowing you to upgrade doesn't seem to be true. I also had to flash the latest BIOS to get my X299 Micro to work and I just bought it over a month ago.

Not without a compatible (older) CPU, but if you get the removable/replaceable BIOS chip with the latest BIOS flashed it will work - just be careful because it's really small, and there is a small dot that indicates installation orientation.

Don't forget to update the other two BIOS chips after installing the removable one.
