My question is, I have a 1000w EVGA PSU, and each VGA cable is split into 2 8pin connectors, when connecting to a graphics card that requires 2 8pin, do I use 1 of these cables that splits into 2 8pin, OR use 1 of the 8pins from 2 separate cables.

I've seen lots of people build systems with separate VGA cables lately, avoiding using the split second connector found on each cable. Is there a limit of power per cable, or is there a more stable flow with 2 separate connectors?

It’s better to use two cables as the voltage should be better controlled that way. I would only use a single cable if it’s the only option since it will work but won’t be ideal.

If the 1000 watt PSU has a single rail voltage output then it won't matter if you have one or two cables. If you are not sure then use two cables as Hoggle has suggested.
