The evga dark is made for memory overclocking, yet its missing one of the most important setting every other board manufacturer has, the ability the set PPD to "0". For all those who dont know, this setting lowers latency 2-3ns when setting to 0, amazingly with no stability loss.

Ive contacted Evga several times, it should be no issues getting this option added to the bios. The memtweakit tool was able to set ppd to 0, however it no longer works with windows. Its up the Evga to add this to the bios. So if you want this feature please make a suggestion to evga here,
"Evga suggestion"
I cant upload the direct link on here for some reason.

Thank you

Yes please. Not sure why it wasn't already there.

Go to the suggestions page and make a suggestion and send a email. Evga wont do nothing unless we all say something. This feature should be easy to add , ppd is set to "1" by default, so a line of coding to set it to "0". They can add it to the bios or even evga eleet x1. If they could supply a unlocked developer bios with every setting, I could write this line of code myself. It sucks, are tuned memory latency is awful compared to every other z490 board manufacturer. It can easily be fixed with this one simple setting, which will shave off 2-3ns of latency.

The memtweakit program no longer allows us to adjust ppd since it changes things at a bios level, which windows doesnt allow anymore since it operates like malware.

Its disappointing evga hasn't add this important setting. Ive been asking for 2 months now and it would be so easy to fix. Its sad when a third party tool used to work on the dark, but evga cant even implicate it into their bios or software. Evga needs to step up their support or this will be my last evga motherboard.

I agree it needs to be added to the BIOS. But, MemTweakIt still works at long as you don't use a newer cancer version of Windoze 10. MemTweakIt is not broken. Windoze 10 is. It should also be added to ELEET X1 in addition to the BIOS.

I did submit it as a suggestion and provided a link to this thread. Hopefully, they will care enough to do it.

Evga provided me with a beta bios like 3 months ago that allows ppd to be set to 0 "disabled". Im surprised they havn't released it yet. Ive been running 4700 cl17 17 17 36 with very tight timings without a issue.
    71k read 72k write 65k copy and 33.9ns of latency. Going from 4600 cl17 to 4700 cl17 dropped latency quite a bit. 4700 is a beast.

I'm using 16gb. 2x8gb gskill trident z neo 3600 cl14. Ive tested many bdie and these have been the best.

They provided one for me today as well. It seems like it is the latest 11th Gen BIOS update and it's got some of the stability issues that I ran into trying to use that. I disabled the Intel ME on the PCH menu and that stopped the BSOD issues. Behavior is basically identical to when I tried using v1.20 with a 10900K/KF CPU.

Did you get latency improvements disabling ppd in the memory timing settings?

What kind of stability issues did you have? What's your cpu and ram speed?

It would be nice to be able to disable PPD. Not sure why it's missing or why tREFI is limited to 65000.

PPD option NEEDS to be added for Z490 and Z590 alike. I would be extremely disappointed if when I can finally get a Z590 Dark it doesn't have the option to turn this off.

I just sent a suggestion as well. I am glad I looked on the forum because I wasn’t able to find it anywhere in the bios, now I know why.

This is the one they sent after I left a comment requesting ppd support, it allows you to disable ppd. I couldn't get the adaptive core voltage target to work only the offset not sure if other bios versions have this issue as well. I don't know which one placekicker has with his wonder ram at 4700 cl17.
