I've got the above card when it was on air I could not touch the backplate as it was very hot,so I ve now fitted the EVGA Hydra cooper waterblock.
First time I fitted the block I didn't put enough Tim on the gpu die so I took it apart and spread a small amount on the gpu die and on the contact plate on the waterblock,at stock settings temp are fine on idle 32c odd but when I start to game the temperature goes up to 80c odd.
My water cooling is 2 x 280mm xflow rads cpu block and a phantek r220 res with a ddc pump on full,soft tube is 13/10.
Funny thing is when I'm gaming when I touch the gpu backplate there is no heat coming from it at all .

    I have 2 rtx 2080 super FTW3 hydrocopper in nvlink and my temps when gaming and the cards overclocked is 45degree C. The back of my cards do get warm when gaming.

    Threadripper 3960x on PBO  3 alphacool 360 mm radiator 1 60mm thick and 1 30 mm thick and 45 mm thick. 1 280 mm radiator is 30 mm thick, Alphacool  pump and reservior  and a new Alphacool Elisblock XPX Aurora Pro cpu block

    My rtx 2080ti ftw3 hybrid gets hot but temps are pretty good on the sensors , the back plate does get surprisingly hot to the touch though

    That's what I don't understand is the whole backplate is cold with little to no heat coming from the gpu spot,could it be that I have the ddc running at 100% and the water is flowing to fast to cool the components.

    Who do I need to contact to flash my bios as I would like to try this.

    Problem sorted at last,I took the block off today to find the thermal paste was shocking bad it was only on a very small part of the gpu die,this I don't understand why as I bought some thermal grissly and spread some on the die and block I could of moved the block while putting it back together last time but I'm now happy to say the temp are great 29c idle and just over 45c while in games instead of 82c .
