Hello,
I have some problems with my new 3080 : I scored low in TimeSpy (), because the gpu usage is around 80% !
I tried Port Royal and TimeSpy extrem, and no problem I scored 12000 and 9500 in graphic.
I don't have FPS limiter, I tried with gsync enable and disable, no vsync, in high perf mode....
I see another user who had the same problem (), so I reinstall windows but nope :/
I have Thermaltake toughpower 1200W, so I don't think it's the PSU.

What is your CPU and what resolution are you running it on?

I have Threadripper 3960X on Asus Zenith II. My display is 2560*1440 (165hz).

So i re-installed again Windows, minimal install but same problem...
I tried Metro Exodus benchmark and the score seems ok, so I will go on.
I saw some other threads which people have same problem, and the result is windows reinstall, or set on high performance the power plan (I tried both).
So maybe with my threadripper it's not fully functional. Hoping this bug does not happen in games !

Sometimes it’s the drivers. Check a few different builds.

Ever get a resolution on this? I noticed on all other benchmarks my GPU stays over 95% but in timespy, right when it pans to the woman walking down the isle seconds in, it drops from 97% to 71% I am on a hybrid, temps are fine, prefer maximum performance in nvidia settings and on ultimate power plan with PCIe link state power management disabled.
Driving me nuts since I will get a 12000 scores there which is horrible for this card, yet in port royal I will get over 13250 which is excellent.
- CPU: 5900X / 3800XT
- MB: Asus Strix X570-E / Asus TUF B550
- RAM: 32 GB TridentZ 3200 CL14 (stock timings) / 64 GB Ripjaws 3600 cl 16
- GPU: EVGA 3080TI Hybrid (converted from FTW 3 Ultra) / EVGA 3080 Hybrid (converted from FTW 3 Ultra)

Not resolved... My last try : 3dm/57998437? With the load :  :/ I wanted to change the card, but with the shortage I kept it. What is your config ?

I am running the 3080 FTW hybrid with a 5900x on AGSEA 1.2 and 32 GB 3200 CL14, with 2 nVME drives it only one as PCIe 4.0 on a Asus strix x570 -E board.
Based on all my testing this is an issue with Timespy and not the GPU. That’s my case though, as every other benchmark besides it is running great. I’d run some port royal, superposition, furmark, and a few games like rise and shadow of the Tomb Raider and their benchmarks to see if you are having the same issue as me. All my games run great with zero issues, it’s just time spy being funky.

Yes it seems it's juste with Time spy (TimeSpy extrem works well), but I didn't found the cause.
What bothers me it's I'm not sure this issue will not appear in future games.

The cause must be the G-Sync being enabled. It warns that you should turn it off. Not sure though, too lazy to test. Have 3080 ftw3 and 5900x. EDIT: Can confirm. It was the G-Sync. After disabling it from the nvidia control panel the issue is gone and the GPU loads 100% during the test.
