So it is mentioned in the pinned post on this section of the forum EVGA RMA department keeps stocks of models for RMA.

I am curious since it's my first time to RMA a product. I have a replacement GPU (RTX 2070 SC) incoming to arrive on 25/11 this week. Are the replacement units sent back by EVGA (EU) brand new?

Thanks.

I got mine brand new from an authorized etailer in the EU in July. My card failed in less than 3months. My expectation is the cards they are sending are brand new as well. Whether 3 months old or 2 years old if it is for RMA I think it should be treated the same.

I'm surprised they honored an eBay card if not from an authorized seller, they need an invoice to prove you got it from official sources to RMA.

It will most likely be refurbished, depending on the amount of stock they have.  They only guarantee a new one if it less than 30 days old.

Sad but this is what I felt as well that's why I had to ask. Since they ask you to send the GPU only and expect only a GPU back. Well at the very least they will assist in registering the replacement card in my existing Step-Up queue for the 3080.
