Evga CLC 280 Doesn't fit my NZXT S340 Elite

So the manual for the NZXT said it can accomadate at 280 radiator, but the EVGA 280 doesn't have enough clearance to fit.  (It's too tall)  Does anyone know if the 240 version would fit in this case before I swap them out, or is there a 280 model that would fit in this case.  I'd rather use the 140mm fans if I can.

    Wow they show a single fan (without rad) in the picture and that is pretty tight to the mobo tray.
     
    My 280 is about 2-3/8 high and my h100i is about 2-1/4. CLC 120 is also 2-1/4.

    The S340 case only allows  rad mounted in front position with fans configured for push mode

    The 280 is a little bit shorter but not that much. How much clearance more did you need? I have a systems with the 240 and the 280 just not with that case.

    with the radiator screwed into the front of the case about half of the radiator tip that sticks out past the fans was preventing it from fitting.  I didn't see how I fit the fans between the radiator and the case.

    I feel dumb.  I think I could have moved the fans to the other side of the radiator so the hoses would have been facing the cpu still.  Does anyone recommend a differ 280 than the EVGA one?
