The Electronic Arts owned BioWare studio have recently announced the Mass Effect Legendary Edition during N7 day celebrations. The Mass Effect Legendary Edition includes a compilation of the first three Mass Effect titles released between 2007 and 2012. The remastered games have all single-player DLC and additional in-game content included. While the games will be optimized for 4K with updated textures, shaders, models, and effects they will not be receiving a full remake. Mass Effect Legendary Edition is now available for pre-order at 60 USD launching in Spring 2021 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, with forward compatibility and targeted enhancements on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.

One of the great game trilogies ever - but I'm guessing this will follow all the latest year long duds of 'Remasters' and just be a quickie texture upgrade ,cash grab for the new consoles.....?

I'd agree this will probably be a lack luster remaster catered at cash grabbing for the new consoles but would really love to be wrong and have a beautifully remastered franchise. Loved these games so much.

Sure, remastered games are nothing more than cash grabs, but at least these are great games!

There hasn't been a remastered worth repurchasing as of yet imo, Mass Effect being one of my favorite series, we will see.

I don't know this doesn't seem that bad of a cash grab when you consider it's 3 full games with hours and hours of entertainment for $60 with new effects to make it look great in 4K. I don't mind since it works out to $20 a game. I would feel different if EA had done the cash grab of charging $29-39 per game or $79-89 for a bundle which really I wouldn't have at all been shocked by.

But its EA! Enough said. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them implementing micro-transactions somehow. XD

There's already some pretty good mods that update the textures, especially for the first two games.  This is one of my favorite game series, but the way EA slow rolled DLC and wouldn't discount it for years, I'm good on giving them any money for this half-hearted attempt.  We want a new story.  Andromeda character creation issues still bother me.
