I have being using EVGA Precision X1 V 1.1.0.9 to control My RGB light without issues from day one , I had my card for about a month now  , I'm only using it for the lights for everything else I use MSI afterburner , Never had an issue try it 

Which Precision version ? They are not all the same try to download and use v 1.1.0.9

Have the same issue. No amount of troubleshooting fixed it. EVGA is sending a replacement

Update: the LED is stuck in red now. With only like half of the LED bar lit. Has been cycling through stuck on green and red for a few weeks. I'm wondering if the 3080 TI do come out in January, maybe I can ship this in for a Step-up and RMA at the same time?

Did you get your issue fixed? I also have this issue with my 3080 FTW3 Ultra but instead it freezes on random rainbow RGB colors and flickers on-and-off randomly constantly. It's quite annoying so I've dimmed the brightness of the bar in PX1 to at least not have it look so bothersome on my desk. But I would like to know if there is a fix for this problem as well because it really is irritating, thank you.

Huh, that really is a frustrating problem when something cosmetic breaks to the point that it actively detracts from the experience. Glad to hear that firmware update solved it for some, since it would be disappointing to need to RMA an otherwise functional card over some lighting

Are you still having this issue on newer versions? I'm on version 1.2.1.0 and have this issue. If you're still on 1.1.3.0 then maybe I'll just downgrade.

If you go to 1.1.3 it will do a firmware update which will make the card work properly with the precision software, then from there, you can upgrade to whatever version you want. I'm on the latest now. It works fine for me on the newest version.

I had same issues with LED's. I went thru the whole list of troubleshooting tasks listed at the beginning of the forum page for EVGA 30 series cards. https://forums.evga.com/Basic-troubleshooting-steps-Windows-clean-boot-clean-driver-install-debug-mode-etc-m2504606.aspx  I got a new copy of Microsoft C++ (x86) from installing the whole driver package - all of it. Then go back and uninstall the trash.  Sorry I didn't do it in true fashion to pick out which thing fixed. Try this first tho, go into the LED control and turn each LED bar off, even if it doesn't respond and save. shut you PC down and restart without PX1. Hopefully all your LEDS are now off. If you still have the same problems go thru the troubleshooting tasks listed in the link provided. Yeah, its a pain. But an RMA is much worse, especially when its probably your registry or something in your bios not switch on or off. Make sure to perform clean boot correctly.

I'm having a similar problem. My 3080 Ti FTW3 changes my custom set LED profile (set for temp readings) back to the rainbow effect during gameplay and desktop use, seemingly at random. Last night I tested the card with Dirt Rally 2.0 for a bit, and it worked perfectly fine until I went back to the main menu, then it cycled back to rainbow. Restarted my PC, no difference. The settings in PX1 had changed back to Rainbow, had to re-enter my custom settings. Same thing this morning.
 
I really like the effect when it's set the way I want it, and I love the idea. But the execution is a little frustrating, tbh.

Just a heads up, I went back to using 1.1.4 and everything is now working great for me (at least for the past 4 days). I tried 1.1.3, and while this did fix the LED getting switched back issue, there is a bug in 1.1.3 where it doesn't save your frequency curve correctly and will cause precision to crash if you save a modified frequency curve, then you try to load it. Anyway, give 1.1.4 a try and see if that fixes your issues. Good luck!
