I am also now at the payment stage for my 3070 card, however I am in two minds.
I am in the UK, so I'm not sure how long return shipping will take due to Brexit, as I assume I will have to send my 2060S to Germany?
Sent a package to Ireland not long ago and it took a MONTH to get there...

You pay for shipping to EVGA yourself, shouldn't take more than 2 weeks from the UK to Munich, even with customs taking their time checking the parcel. EVGA shipped my 3070 via UPS. I heard they had issues in the the UK currently and stopped deliveries alltogether. If EVGA ships with DHL it should only take 1-2 days, the UK still doesn't check parcels coming in from the EU to ease the logistical complications.

Just got the Step 2 mail a few minutes ago - registered on the 29/10 After roughly 30 minutes it switched over to Step 3.

Same here - tbh I was a bit surprised when I saw the initial price back when I started the StepUp. The price for my old card plus the price Evga charges me now for the upgrade still equals a good deal though imo.

Got my step 2 & 3 emails through yesterday and didn't even spot them! All paid up, now to dig out the box my old card shipped in...
If you're also trapped on Brexit Island and keep getting "the seller does not accept this card" at the Paypal screen, the solution is transfer some £ into your Paypal wallet and then use that to pay. Once the funds are in there go through the Step Up checkout again and 'Paypal Wallet' will appear as a payment method alongside your useless credit cards.
Paypal's site has a currency calculator but you can't enter a destination currency value, so I got a £ value close to the € price then rounded up another £20 to make sure I'd covered it before going through the checkout. You can transfer the £ back to your bank account (and if you're like me, immediately un-link your bank from Paypal again) once you're done.

Thats my 2060s now with German Customs as of October 21st (2 weeks after sending)
They have notified EVGA via letter that they need more info for delivery/pickup (I was told to expect this by EVGA support) so I guess it's at this point is can all go wrong :)

Today my watch is over! I received my 3070 step up and already installed!
One thing i noticed is that on the box it states the model as KR (pre LHs model) but on the evga website it stated its the KL model (it has the same serial number both on the card and on the website).
Is there another way to see which i got appart from running a miner?

Oof, that sucks. Which courier did you send it with? I opted for DHL and while filling in all the customs info was a nightmare, I dropped it at a depot on the 27th and it arrived at EVGA this morning. Slower than the "2 day" service offered but at least it got there.

It arrived with EVGA today. Shipped to them on 10th October, arrived on 3rd November. Comms from EVGA have been fantastic. The delay was likely caused by me not using the appropriate shipping and declaration forms. Glad it's finally arrived

Has anyone had to deal with tax/customs charges before sending the card back to Germany? I've gone through the entire process and onto step 4 and I'm either being charged £100 to ship or at least £114 for customs charges. Not EVGA's fault but this makes the whole step up for me pointless and prohibitive. no way can I justify an extra £200 (or more potentially) on top of what I've already paid as the difference between cards.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I have some info regarding a finished step up from Italy. There was no added taxes or fees other than the price difference for the step up, which was ~240 euro. From a 2070 Super XC to a 3070 FTW3 Ultra. Step 1: 14:01 06/11/2020Step 3: 23/11/2021 Card sent on the 29/11/2021Card received on the 8/12/2021 Nasbor5

Both the card I just wrote about above, and my own step up, were from cards bought from Amazon. Unless something changed, I don't see why it wouldn't work. How long the queue would be, is a different matter.

Waiting since November 2021 (to step up to 3070ti), no 2nd step e-mail yet and i confirmed with customer support that theres no issues with my step up registration.
Seems like there are a lot of requests for them to handle
