I have one, and the KP HC block too. Keep looking and don’t give up.

This is actually a good value! People are spending $1,700 bucks for 3080Ti’s on air cooling at their local Best Buy/Micro center...So $2,089 for a RTX3090 Kingpin that’s water cooled is a steal friend.

I want to thank Evga for not making the MSRP higher honestly lol.

Oh,

Thank you evga! Lol

Wish I could buy one in Australia. I'd gladly pay 1000 more than MSRP for one. They are out of stock everywhere and all stores have said their supplier has no ETA for more Kingpin stock & EVGA aren't offering the kingpin via their Australian web store. Total joke. People want to buy these cards...

The price if purchased from EVGA is beyond reasonable in this market. Zotac, for instance, charges much more for their Trinity 3090 and it's not even really comparable to the Kingpin. I guess you could also look at a ROG Strix 3090 which costs more and is not in the same class for serious overclockers.

But just like any 30 series card it is hard to get at MSRP. At least EVGA provides a way to do that although it involves a long wait.

That's just $200 more than the 2080 Ti Kingpin IIRC.

3090 Kingpin is also 40.3+ tflops stock right out of the box. Slightly faster than that of the soon to be released 3090Ti. Not only did you get a crazy good card for only $2,089 dollars, but it’s already water cooled, and it was actually future proofed “slightly“.. Because on paper, it is faster than a 3090Ti FE. We also have binned memory on the cards. I run mine at 23,500gbps daily. Which is around 1,125GB of bandwidth

With the core clock at just 2,160Mhz it’s a 45tflop graphics card! That is a beast. All for $2,000 bucks?

Evga nailed it with the 3090 Kingpin. I hope they can stick to this kind of value for future cards, and not go to far off the path. My whole build is Evga.. And, warranty is most of the reasoning behind this.

As for my 3090KP HC, I’m riding this GPU out for a while. Im
definitely not buying another Ampere, or Ampere refresh video card.

Good morning everyone,

May i ask if the 3090 Kingpin has the "Lottery" silicon or are they made by using the same bin's as the normal 3090's, please?

Thank you in advance!

Evga selects (10) GA102’s from a sample of (100) GA102’s. Then Evga will test those (10) for the best (1) GA102. Then they will use that (1) GA102 in a 3090 Kingpin. So yes, the 3090 Kingpin is binned. The memory is also binned on the 3090 Kingpin. However, people can still hit the silicon lottery with other standard 3090’s.

I heard this from Vince directly, you’ve also got hand writing in pencil on the frame around die directly during testing marked “1,995Mhz KP”. They use a socketed GPU so they can quickly swap in GA102’s to test them.

They are tested under a specific temp, load, and voltage to see that they hold 1,995 home stock at a specific temperature and power level. If they pass this test they qualify for a KP die.  If they downclock at this voltage/power/temp level then they do not meet KP die standards.

They are binned, they are tested, I have pictures of my own 3090KP die if you’d like to see it.

It is a simple BIN, nothing crazy like top 1-3%. It is the top 10% selected and used for Kingpin cards. 10 dies selected randomly from 100 dies. And then the best (1) of those 10 tested dies is used.

The stock 3090 Kingpin is actually higher Tflops than a stock 3090Ti FE. So, I’d say it’s a great GPU over the stock 3090 FE.

Absolutely! So much misinformation on the internet about this, so I asked Vince and Evga directly  about the hand writing on my die with a pencil and how the binning is done. Apparently the memory is also done in a similar matter. But it is more or less to match the memory chips abilities. Making sure all of the IC’s are equally good at overclocking.

Also, it seems there isn't going to be a lot of need for queues soon. I mean, what, maybe for 3090 Ti?

I think that is true for about 90% of the garbage on the net.  And people regurgitate that crap like it's the gospel.  If it wasn't for bad information regurgitation, I bet the internet would take up 50% less storage space.
