My RMA'd 3090 with serial starting 2219 is on the way. My 2014 card from 11/20 died last week. Is there any information regarding 2219 cards?

Funny same times til it’s died.
My card from 12/20 died also last week. Rev. 0.1 didn’t hit the > 450w
Rma Card 2219 and again an rev. 0.1 card. :(. Still pci-e 81w and doesn’t hit >450.

For me it’s fine. But why sending rma cards with no fixes :/??

Issue on both bios (new and old) 3090 FTW Ultra Gaming.

Can not reflash bios either old or new.

Windows 11 x64
64gb ddr4
2tb ssd nvme
3090 FTW Ultra Gaming OC or Normal Switch

Part # matches the zip file, but it won't work even in admin mode.

I get the same message, regardless of which bios I try on my rev 1. Although when checking in GPUZ it says 500W as Max Wattage but it's never hit more than 470 and that's only in Quake RTX.

I run an undervolt anyway but still.

Can someone please help me troubleshoot?

I flashed the OC Hybrid XOC bios (from here: ) to the OC BIOS of my 3090 FTW3 Ultra after installing the hybrid cooler without realizing I had a later version with the XOC BIOS already installed.

It gave me an EEProm write error: Error: PushPoll Cycle - NVF Writing Payload to uCode Timeout. Payload State: 00000004Entire pushPollCtrl0: 68003C04

Afterwards it booted to a black screen.  I noticed that for whatever reason when I installed the CMOS reset and even though I recovered my OC settings it didn't enable resizable bar.  I switched to normal bios and it booted up but even toggling over to the OC BIOS and installing the stock FTW3 Ultra XOC BIOS from Page 1 of this thread it goes straight to a black screen until I reboot on the normal BIOS switch.

How can I get my OC BIOS functioning again?  Really sucks I swapped cards and added a hybrid cooler just to get no better performance or temps (58C core on both fully OC'd on Timespy) than my old FE card, especially since I can't even recover that OC BIOS.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, have tried the Precision X software but it doesn't recognize the OC bios when I switch to it after booting on Normal.  Have been able to  use bios switches to flash no issue on AMD cards before.

Thanks!

My understanding is that once you boot the GPU with a BIOS, it'll stick with whatever settings you booted with.  So switching to the OC bios after boot will do nothing.

It sounds like you want to rewrite over whatever you did with the OC bios, but the OC bios won't boot, correct?  If this is the case, I believe you can boot with the BIOS switch on Normal.  Then after boot, switch over the OC bios.  It won't change any GPU settings on what you currently have running, but it will select the physical OC bios.  So when you reflash the BIOS, it'll be flashing over the OC bios, and not the Normal bios you're currently booted into.  I believe this is the case, others can confirm/contradict.

You are correct.  I have tried switching BIOS positions and reflashing but it has done nothing.  Actually had to reinstall Nvidia drivers for some reason just to recognize the GPU and overclock again.

I'm trying to figure out if there's a better way to flash the OC bios, maybe with a different GPU installed as a display?

You can flash the GPU while booting from another, just have to be careful which one you select.  Are you using nvflash directly?  Or using the executable they provide?

That's good thank you.  Only one I have on hand is a 3080 so I'll have to add some pcie connections but I've got a 1200w supernova so I should be good there.  I was using the provided executable.  Might've worked better if I used nvflash idk.

EDIT: I was able to successfully reflash the OC BIOS using NVFlash.  I suspect my primary issue was windows antivirus blocking the EVGA exe file and corrupting the image.

I used nvflash after giving it exclusion and controlled folder access with Windows Security and booting from the non-modified Normal Bios switch.  I switched the switch over to OC position (which was corrupted) and flashed.  I had to remote into my pc to confirm the flash since my display went black but it flashed successfully after saying that the image was corrupted or something initially, gave a success prompt and I rebooted with my 119% PL using a Hybrid BIOS I got from TechPowerUp.

My 3090 3988 from Dec 2020 just died, and I received my 2219 RMA card and it is a Rev 1.0. I didnt bother with the XOC bios on my original, but I have a EKWB I'm about to install and wanted to load it with the XOC. If everything I've read Rev 1.0 comes with the XOC already installed on the OC bios? I switched it over to OC but cannot move past 107 PT which I thought would be the case? I ran a Time Spy and seen a max of 455W and nvidia-smi command shows max of 450W, I thought the default XOC bios was suppose to go to 500W? Or do I not have the XOC pre loaded on the RMA card?

I'm pretty sure the XOC bios doesn't ship on any card. Just install it from the stickied post on this forum.

My associates code is O1RWT3TOQ5NNXP8 if you wanna help !e get my EVGA score up :)

Re: EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3 XOC BIOS BETA 2022/08/19 09:24:54 (permalink)
The XOC did come preinstalled on the rev 1.0 card's OC switch (a reboot is required to load it). 107% power limit is relative, and higher than say 110% power limit on a 400W VBIOS (vs 107% on a 450W VBIOS).

If you want to see for yourself, run GPU-Z and go to Advanced, near the top select Nvidia BIOS from the drop-down menu (starts on General). There you'll see what the max power draw is for that VBIOS. Your board won't always draw that much power if it's not needed - for example, my 3090 Ti has a 516W max power draw and a 450W default. Even when I max out the slider, most of the time it will sit around 470 to 480W power draw with some spikes above 500.

Use the newer thread for this topic if you want to make sure that your OC switch has the XOC already (when you try to flash it'll say something like you already have the latest installed): https://forums.evga.com/EVGA-GeForce-30-Series-HYBRIDXOCDefault-BIOS-Thread-m3407542.aspx

Unrelated to the previous post. sorry bro idk how that normally works or if it goes wrong often. Mine shoes the BIOS i flashed. Which brings me to my point:

I was severely limited by ALL evga bioses released for my card. Downloaded and flashed the top result in this search: VGA Bios Collection | TechPowerUp and holy smokes. I cant wait to put this thing under water. Still getting a lot more consistent clocks with it on air.

I was having an issue where the xoc bios' in the first post would fail to flash on my ftw3 ultra (3842 3987), I have a 0.1v 2114 card.

This guy seemed to work for me: EDIT: lol I don't have enough posts to links, but techpowerup dawt com /vgabios/231617/evga-rtx3090-24576-210329

119% power limit, rebar enabled, confirmed it actually hits 500w, hope this helps someone.

Does not seem likely, but you might get lucky. There is a chance, just much lower chance than with a Rev 1.0 card.
Honestly, you want a Rev 1.0 card if you have any excuse to convince EVGA to RMA it for you. The Rev 1.0 card is better, with better components, and you don't want to be stuck with the Rev 0.1 when the warranty expires.

Honestly i have just one issue i cant explain.. In game the card is running with  2200mhz / 1.1v. But Port royal and all other 3d Mark tests its mostly running just with 1.037v.
Its quite nice silicon.
Funny thing since the card is under water its drawing way less power(might be the fans) before it were drawing around 480w now its maxed out at 460W.

I have the Vector FTW3 with active backplate
The listed Temps. have been my Temps after playing games.
Watertemp is around 26-28°C

I have been testing a lot with different bios. Finally i went back to the stock bios and then flashed it with the override XOC Bios from the Thread.
TimeSpy and Port Royal still not using Voltage Curve and above 1.037V max PowerDraw is now 470W(just spikes) and in Game 485W.
I got my 15200pt at PR. I am ok with that, i think with shunt mod that would be a quite nice card, Hitting 2100mhz@0,997.

Found out a very strange behaviour. When i leave the clokcs at default the card is drawing 500w just Power at 119%. When i try to OC the card instant draws not more than 460W..
Does anyone can confirm this behaviour?
