At work we have a computer that has an EVGA Supernova 850 G2 power supply and I'm unable to get it to power up.  When I try to power it up it will start and then shut down and it then goes into a loop.  It will power up for a second or two and shut down.  I have spent hours doing Google searches for any information about what the issue is or tests to perform to try and find the issue and I'm at a loss.  It worked one afternoon, I shut it down and went home and when I came into work the next morning it wouldn't power up.  Does anyone have any idea as to what the issue may be?

Here is what I have tried:
-Checked all of the pins for the correct voltages (all MB pins checked fine, problem remains)
-Pulled the RAM and tried to boot (problem remains)
-Pulled the GPU and tried to boot (problem remains)
-re-seated the CPU and applied fresh thermal paste in case the CPU was overheating (problem remains)
-replaced the CR2032 battery because someone said it fixed their problem (problem remains)

Thank you in advance.

What happens when you try to start the psu with the included tester with everything disconnected?

When I disconnect everything from the psu and connect the tester to the end of the MB cable and turn it on nothing happens.  If I leave the SATA cables connected case fans will start up.  Although I did just notice that the psu fan isn't spinning.  The psu is not in Eco mode.

If the PSU fan doesn't spin when performing the PSU Test, then the PSU is no good.

Don't use this as a reason to not trust EVGA or this PSU specifically.  I have had this PSU/computer for about 4-5 years and in that time it the computer it is in has been heavily rained on, had a bunch of water fall on it (powered off fortunately) when the tent I was under collapsed because of the aforementioned rain (and 30mph winds), been through several sand storms, and operated in a room for several hours filled with thick dust from concrete being sanded down in a neighboring room.  It has been solid in air temps from 32 degrees (F) to over 100 degrees (F).  And that is only what I can think of off of the top of my head.  I don't know what other people do to stress test their PSUs/computers but I am just short of actively trying to destroy mine, and so this is probably a well deserved rest.  This is actually a testament to the build quality of this PSU.

And thank you Sajin and Bob for your help.

WOW,  I don't think I've ever heard of anyone torturing their unit that much .... the poor thing.

Good luck on your new unit.

Got the EVGA G5 1k watt. Turned off the dumb power save toggle as it causes loud fan noise. Currently running 10900k, 3080 FE lots of drives. No issues. Solid PSU
