Sup fellas... Just wanted to get some feedback on the rest of you "bleeding edger's" and who is ready to spend some $$ on a new GPU and OLED/gaming monitor? Been using my trusty 2080 Ti hybrid for over 2 years and gaming on my awesome Samsung 48" JS9000 since 2015. It's a great TV but caps out at 60 Hz. Been itching for an upgrade so I'm thinking of splurging this year hopefully! Hard pill to swallow with only 10-15% performance going with the 3090 over the 3080, but I live for highest framerate/quality so I guess I'm a sucker willing to pay.... Anyone else?

I sold my 2080 ti 3 months ago in preparation for this launch. I also got a great deal on a Samsung g7 monitor that I absolutely love, but I'm excited to get a 3080 and finally be able to push those frames. I bought a B8 oled LG TV last year and I was excited to use it but it only supports 4k 60fps. That should still be good for more imersive games, so I have a 15ft hdmi cable for that so I can switch between the two depending on what I'm playing. I definitely drank the coolaid tho lol. And I am super pumped for this gpu.

A GPU for me, the 3080, I'm not going for a new monitor yes, but I might go with an upgraded CPU/motherboard/ram not to far off from now. I'm going to see if I can get my samsung TV to work with the new card, even if it doesn't have the level of support like an LG OLED display does, I at least already have it.

I'm a bleeder! was able to grab a 3090 FTW3 Ultra and a LG CX 48" and as soon as the EVGA hybrid cooler shows up I'll be all over that! Right now I'm having issues with this new combo, G-sync, black screens, full screen issues, resolution of desktop being blurry, dimming issues, 3090 stuck clocks, game freezes, games crashing to desktop... each firmware, driver released nudges it better; but running beta TV firmware with hotfix nvidia drivers it's a bit better but nothing is what I would consider solved. so we're defineily in Bleeding edge zone! Which I personally don't mind.. it comes with the territory. Coming from a 2080 Ti KingPin and Asus PG279Q (27" 165hz 1440P)

Dang dude...that's a lot of Beta testing nightmares! Scarier thing for me is that your upgrade path is exactly what mne is going to be....

The new Beta driver is reported to fix that issue. Hope it helps your situation>

It's a dream and worth every penny. 3090 with LG CX 48. I waited nearly two years for a viable gaming monitor. But OLED is key. My first ever experience with Gsync > 60Hz.

Have a 2080 Ti Hybrid and LG 43" monitor, considering a 3080 Ti Hybrid, case upgrade and closeout on LG OLED, either a 48" to replace the 43", or adding 55" or 65" in another room. Also need to consider a 4K projector upgrade from my Benq W1070.

LG 55" BX currently at $1199. Looking for it to drop to $999. Or the CX 55" to like $1099. Not seeing any movement on the 48" pricing.

It looks like the LG Nano85, Nano90 and Samsung Q70T, Q80T are now supporting 4K120 VRR/G-Sync over HDMI 2.1, they are about 50%-70% the cost of the OLED's. The LG is IPS while the Samsung is VA. If I could get a 65" Nano85 for $799 on closeout that would pretty sweet price on a BFGD.

I'm going all out for the first time in a couple of decades. The only thing I actually have to wait for are the 4K 120hz HDMI 2.1 displays to come out next year and my 5900x which is on backorder (thank goodness I don't have to look anymore). I'll have to game on my 1080 panels or my HDTV 4k60 for the time being.

Didn't realize the CX panels had HDMI 2.1. I know the panels well, but apparently not well enough. lol. If I upgrade my living room HDTV, I'll go for it, but looking into monitors around the 32" or smaller size with the same specs. I think ASUS and 1 other are releasing some early 2021.

Nice. Don't have the wallspace where my new rig is going, so I'll have to wait for now, but I may just "start" by leaving the rig in my living room to see what it can do in 4k. lol.

I think I will keep my OLED LG 55'' B7 for PS5 (preparing to upgrade it to 77') for a couch gaming + if I finally get 3080 with some ultrawide g-sync screen like Alienware AW3420DW or ROG STRIX XG43VQ (didn't decide yet which one). For now, this is my goal - I like to switch between couch and pc desk gaming (like both options but PC a little bit more).
