rtx 3080 says min psu 750 watt when i use evga and newegg power meter and my system specs with 3080 they recommend only a 550 watt psu so what gives i have a thermaltake smart series 700 watt ive had opinions that my 700 will run it and some say to go to an 850 and power meters say all i need is a 550 DOH!

    The amount of wattage is the combined wattage of your system. Your PSU supplies power to everything in your system. A 550 watt won't cut it. Stick with the PSU recommended by EVGA for the RTX 3080. If you wish to overclock any components then maybe a bit more wattage than 750 watts.
