I happen to be off today sitting at the computer when I received an in stock alert from nowinstock for the 3080 FE at the nvidia store just minutes ago, 13:32. Took me no longer than 5 seconds to add one to cart and press checkout, site locked up and just was rewarded to a spinning wheel on the checkout button. Didn't even get to the next step to try to enter payment info.... after 20 seconds I refreshed it was gone from my cart. I even have my address and cc info saved in Dash Lane which auto fills everything. Would have taken me no more than 10 seconds to complete the transaction and yet still can't beat the bots.

Yeah. This fiasco has ruined how I view both NVidia and EVGA. Their reputation is tarnished by this.

Same thing just happened to me too. Added to cart with a spinning wheel on the checkout button. I wonder when I will actually be able to get one.

Thank God I was able to snag a card directly from EVGA. It was a 70 minute fight on the 24th, but at least I came out victorious!

If all bot users have their cards to sell them at significantly higher prices and all miners have their cards too, then it's our turn, the normal users... unfortunately that will take many weeks and as it looks like nothing will be done about it... why should manufacturers change this, money is money

it's just very frustrating and absolutely not funny

No offense but other than a need to vent, why do folks post the 'I did not get my XXX' threads?  It was utterly predictable that initial supply would never meet demand. I'm surprised, given Covid, it is going as well as it has.

Crazy how fast they just sold out, I was there near instantly when it happened and everything stalled. Sad face.

I went for the 3080 at the same time my brother went for the 3090. He won. I am empty handed. I would much rather have a EVGA ftw3 so I am not upset. I had to try though.

No reason other than to vent and to share experiences in trying to get cards. You're under no obligation to click on and read these posts if you are tired of seeing them.

Thank you for agreeing with me there is really no useful purpose other than to vent and repeat  frustrations as we see with every release. I just wonder when folks will stop repeating the pattern. They depend upon it.

That's not good news, i did notice something different on the german nvidia site, maybe they had some little stock too. Looks like EVGA is the only hope if the checkout gets fixed.

Every company needs to get their stock up fast to meet the demand to beat out the scalpers who are feed off the desperate buyers. Sad that Nvidia, who has not sold anything on their site for over a week, sells out within 30 sec. One of the 5000+ member discord group I follow, alot people where able to sang one. But still, less than 30 secs is unacceptable for a billion dollar company.

Lol it seems like I'm always one of the few in the discord group to not get a card when the links pop up; website always takes a dump on . If EVGA can somehow get their website working in the coming weeks, they deserve some kind of humanitarian award lol

Not sure how it could have gone worse honestly. As far as it being predictable Nvidia couldn’t meet demand... they chose when to release. People can be annoyed about minimal units at launch and lengthy re-stock times.

If you think that this won't happen with the AMD launch, they you are mistaken.  Guess you will have to wait for Intel to launch their dedicated cards as I'm sure even the bots will skip those.

how do people buy it so fast? I understand bots will alert them to the product being in stock but do the bots also purchase the cards instantly? How is that even possible?

I think the bots do it all.

ETA: Plus I'm sure they have multiple copies of the bot doing it, to increase the odds of a few completing the purchase.

This is going to be a painful few months. If you're getting frustrated take a step away for a week. I'm probably just going to sit back until I hear reports of stock lasting for more than 5 minutes before trying to snag one of my own.

I got a notice and added to cart just to see how long it would take and it was instant, I didn't want a FE card though so I didn't purchase but the site was very responsive while I was on it.

wanted to ask if anyone else is seeing this , I have the newegg page up with the 3090 and 3080 filter applied and I check the stock couple times a day and nite too  but anyway I noted that if I apply the filter "in stock" It shows me sometimes a few GPU's even though they list as out of stock under their picture  ?  just wondering why the in stock filter would show any if they are out of stock , ?

I'll keep checking. Interestingly bestbuy.com has a "release date" for several of the cards set at the end of October.
