Just when?
I ordered from my retailer Megekko in the Netherlands (Also partner from Nvidia as retailer for the Netherlands and Belgium) at launch and I got in line 2 out of just 4
(3080 waiting lines goes in the hundreds and also 3090 FTW3 Ultra is the most expensive card they are selling).
Paid €2049 inclusive 21% VAT
They already recieved and shipped tens of 3080/3090 cards from ASUS and Gigabyte and they inform the customers well and they said they got zero information yet from EVGA while they get shipping info from other card manufacturers.

What did you pay if you dont mind me asking? :)

Also, hundreds in line? I'm currently 2nd out of 13 for the 3080 FTW3 Ultra according to their web tool.
But it sucks that they charged me 960 euros...
I guess it's better than the 1089 euro they ask now, but 100 euros more expensive than the 860 (incl 21%vat) here at the EU EVGA store...
I even emailed them, got some generic answer that the prices can vary between them and other retailers due to "differences in purchasing prices" (inkoopsprijs), which I highly suspect is 100% bull****.

Anyone knows what time period we would we wait to (realistically) be able to buy from the evga store?
If I have to wait 4 months, that 100 euros surcharge might be worth it.....

In Finland, 3090 FTW3 Ultra is 2099€ including taxes. That means $2462 in USD. Would like to know how it compares to US pricing :)

But also would like to know answer to akaash00 question as well, as I am in the same boat. 3090 FTW3 Ultra ordered, 2nd inline with the local retailer, but no news whatsoever on shipments so far.

MSRP in USD is $1799 without taxes. Tax rates vary state to state, but most of the good state have around a 6% sales tax rate.

I actually walked out paying $1,674.97 with a 5% off affliates code and 172 EVGA bucks. Well, I did end up paying another $110 after for the 10 year warranty and Saturday advanced RMA service.

So my stupid retailer charged me €200 extra at launch or do I get extra warranty included in this price?

Re: First batch 3090 FTW3 Ultra to retailes in EU 2020/10/02 01:47:54 (permalink)
Sadly yes. For example within the first 10 minutes of 3080 launch, the XC3 was already at 840€ on a french etailer. All other sites were putting it at 940€. Now every french etailer gives it at 940€(except maybe Amazon, can't see prices yet.)
FTW3 Ultra is 1000€+ on french etailers while being at 850€ (+ 5% rebate with associate code so even lower, almost 810€) on EU EVGA Store with 20% french VAT. So... Yeah. Etailers are clearly abusing on their margin.

And I was aware of US pricing, each time it's the same, we get (almost) the same digits as US but in euros, and since euros is more expensive than the dollar then we already get a more expensive price if you convert to dollar. But the issue here isn't converted dollars it's the margin the etailers make.

That's why i'm either waiting to see Amazon.fr prices, or more surely waiting for stock at EU EVGA Store. And I'd be interested to know how much and how soon EVGA has planned to keep some cards to their own store, since there's several EU (r)etailers that offers backorder and it would be sad that either them or more expensive and abusive retailers get their cards before even EVGA, because I'm sure we're a lot of people not wanting to be robbed like those etailers do. 150 to 200€ more expensive just because they can is horrible and EVGA need to step up, that's the time to keep some cards to themselves and do some good profit to deliver to the customers themselves.

It's already been released (on the EVGA store and other e-tailers (got mine from EVGA on release day)). Quantities aren't great, but it'll get there eventually.

I am not sure anyone really knows at this point. I have one in queue for the step up but fear it might be a while before I get one. I guess we will see. Really looking forward to it though... seems like the specs are showing off and will be worth the wait.
